I need to make an "invention" for this stupid i(cubed) project thing.

What I need is to build some sort of contraption out of things accessible to me and then make a marketing campaign, make it, blueprint it. etc.

What I need are ideas for new devices that have not been made that I could build for the project. My latest idea was a pen with whiteout on the back. But guess what? It is already made.

does it have to be something useful? Or can it just be silly?

I'll see if i can think of anything....

Its a project so useful. Someone made a bag with an inflatable cover around it of air so that the air cushion protects things inside. Another person made a puck retrieval machine so that if you are practicing and the puck flies away you can reel it back in.

I got it, how about a crayon repair kit. It always sucks when you break a crayon, so you just put the two parts into the mold and it heats the wax up so that the two parts reconnect. As a added bonus, it also makes the tip pointed again making it easer to draw with....

How about a bot that goes on every forum on the internet and asks this exact question?

You should have expected trouble when you posted twice in a 25 minutes period asking for help with your homework.

Pweb has had more than its share (or perhaps just about its share) of newbs coming on and asking for homework "help". It's sort of a thing.

In my opinion, the original idea is usually the hardest part. That being said, if i come up with any more brilliant ideas, ill let you know

The best way that I've been taught to come up with a design type project is to find a problem that you want to address and then come up with a solution to it.

I've done this in a medical device context... both in the making something (I really ought to call the Tech Transfer Office at Rice and see what's up with my patent. I haven't heard anything from it in like 3 years...) and in the scouting out ideas for other people to make devices for.

So, is there something in your life that you wish was just a little easier? Try to think of a thing that would make that easier.
