Okay, so he's not technically a Pweb baby since his parents aren't on Pweb, but I have to share. My nephew!

He's almost two weeks old now. Crazy!

Tyler renamed her HenWen, since he was pretending to be Taran from The Prydain Chronicles. He carried her around all day at the Renaissance Festival. It was so cute!

P.S. Cute beatnik baby!
P.P.S Tyler told me to type "and Tyler has a fever." and the add a :( , so I did, since he's laying on my shoulder and would be mad if I didn't.

Awesome!! I loved those books. What a good little reader you have! When will you introduce him to Ender? :)

They were my favorite books when I was in late elementary school. It makes me so happy he's enjoying them.

I've been pondering Ender's Game. I haven't decided when to read it with him. (I want to read it with him!) I had thought that, since he's so dang smart, reading it when he was Ender's early ages. But that would be now, and he's so dang empathetic, I'm afraid he'd internalize WAY too much. I think we need to wait until we can get a handle on his anxiety.

Beatnik!! I'm imagining a little beret on her head.
To complete the image, I'm imagining her sipping on some sort of hot caffeinated beverage, preparing for her turn on stage in the slam poetry show. There will be snapping, in place of clapping, to show approval.

Yes and I'd still like to know who everyone had in that. :P

Emo Baby or Hipster Baby?
It looks like you have misplaced your child and accidentally picked up Steve Jobs instead. You might want to get him back to Apple.

That's an amazing view! How was camping with three? Do you all share one big tent?

Holy CARP, Kinley has gotten big! Also, I am way, way jealous of your camping. I miss camping so much! :(

Camping with 3 went very well. We shared one tent and everyone slept well. The kids behavior was amazingly good. We're trying to figure out how to squeeze in another trip before school starts! It's so fun that Kinley is big enough to follow her brothers around. She's so happy toddling around the woods.

I was thinking, while we were there, how awesome it would be to have Pwebcon there. Camping with everyone would be so much fun!

(On the avatar, it did that to me yesterday, but then it went back to normal, so I'm not sure what going on. I'll have to mess with it again.)

I don't have jury duty on Monday (yay!) so we're leaving after church tomorrow for a 2 night trip. The kids were SO good on the last one, I'm hoping for a repeat.

that would be supercool. i love camping. and really it's pretty cheap to do, so travel and food would be the main concern.

with all the foodies we have on here, they'd be some pretty gourmet s'mores!

I can do food on the cheap. It's, like, my specialty.

I've been imagining a root beer flavored marshmallow with white chocolate in a s'more. Mmmmm. (It goes along with my idea of root beer marshmallows floating in a vanilla steamer....like a winter root beer float. Yum!)

I know I don't have any babies, but last night I really wanted to kill Virgil. He wouldn't lay down, he would go from one side of the bed to the other, he wiggled around when he did lay down. This went on for HOURS. And the panting. He rarely pants! But last night? A f****** panting machine. I need to buy this bookto read to the dog.

What's he done all afternoon? Sleep. Of course.
Yay, I'm a llama again!

I didn't get any good pictures though. Sorry. Hopefully later this week.

Conversation in the car on the way to school this morning:

T - Why does dad always want to talk to you?
Mom - Because he likes me. We liked each other enough that we decided to be together forever.
B - I want to be Willy Wonka!

Kids are so random!!!

"Someone who always wants to talk to you" is the most romantic thing ever and my new favorite.
you snooze, you lose
well I have snozzed and lost
I'm pushing through
I'll disregard the cost
I hear the bells
so fascinating and
I'll slug it out
I'm sick of waiting
and I can
hear the bells are
ringing joyful and triumphant

I have to say, though, I miss them being younger. Say, 2-3. Maybe 4. I'm not so great with figuring out how to talk to the almost-teen because I'm just not ready to see my baby be that old and I can't pretend she was like one of my students, as far as age and how to interact. But, I still try to treat them all like human beings and not talk down to them, so hopefully that's something. I just wish they'd stay little.
My oldest niece is turning 12 this year and it freaks me out. She was our flower girl when she was just wee!

My oldest neice will turn 18 soon. It's strange because she's closer in age to me than any of my four siblings.
