Oh, Newfoundland. I love you so. Even though I've never been there. It is rapidly climbing the charts as a place to go.

I recently found out that my mom went to Newfoundland (and even St. John's) when she was a teenager to visit her older sister, who was married to a guy stationed at some base up there. My mom said it was incredibly boring. It was the middle of winter and there was no TV.

*laugh* You know, Jan, had you kept the whale and the fat thing to the left (seal? I fail Basic Animals 101) out, I wouldn't have looked close enough to be able to tell the iceberg was fake.

I actually thought the seal was real at first. But I thought the whale was a bird; I think I fail Animals 101.

Heehee. Yes, it is a whale's tail, an iceberg and a seal (kind of a fat seal). None of which were there, but all of which are around Newfoundland.

I thought the iceberg was the sinking Titanic. The thing on the left looks like a smokestack.

I have pictures! Went to a fancy holiday party this weekend and thought I would post a picture... then I got picture happy. So here's me! I've fluctuated a bit in the weight department lately, so some of these look different than others.

A Christmas photo! I hate American chocolate (so waxy), so one of my UK friends mailed me some from there. And a mug!
