Here's me hanging out in my friend Christi's dining room, arm wrestling with another friend, waiting for Christi to get home to her surprise birthday party.

Steph, you two make such a handsome couple! (And you look so pretty, and skinny!)
*blushes* Thanks, guys. Breastfeeding works wonders for weight loss! As does chasing after 2 active boys.gotta agree you're looking fantastic, Steph.
Kel, you are always so beautiful!

A bit late...but you know what they say.
Twinny: That's an adorable picture; you put that on Facebook or somewhere off Pweb, right? I could swear I've seen that. Either way, aunts are awesome.
Steph: You're practically glowing; I love it.
Kelly: If Jeebsy would have removed you from his "To Do" list, I'd have considered adding you to mine just for the eyes (nevermind the rest of your face or, I don't know, your personality, wit, intelligence, etc.)
Thomas...Elf, I think you're a Thomas: Your hair is kind of awesome in its fluff factor. Also, you look like you're from the 70s, but perhaps that's just the coloring of the photo and my imagination.

thanks and yes, I am in fact a Thomas. Here's a picture of me with slightly more normal lightingThomas...Elf, I think you're a Thomas: Your hair is kind of awesome in its fluff factor. Also, you look like you're from the 70s, but perhaps that's just the coloring of the photo and my imagination.
sorry I don't know everyone's name yet, but Young Val, that's an awesome look on your face right there, and Gravity Defier, your profile picture, which I'm assuming is you, is beautiful.

I'd quote that in this reply to make it obvious I'm responding to you, but I just can't be bothered to do so. *lazes around*
But yes, my dad has been known to say that whenever I sleep in past, oh, 5:30am.
And thank you, Thomas, that's very nice of you to say considering that is me.

this post deserved a quote, cause it's awesome like that.I beg to differ... and I have evidence:Attractive people don't belong at PWeb.
I rest my case.
[I tried desperately to find more pieces of evidence to support my case, like Abbie, Ali, and Zona, for example... but try as I could, I couldn't find them. Boo.]

While rereading this thread today I was totally startled to discover Jebus is 100% correct on his assessment, it is not a smirk, observe:
obligatory macbook photobooth picture. me, incredulous.
When seen in proper context it is abundantly clear why we were given that look. That's not a smirk, that's a "stop looking down my top" look if I've ever seen one. And I have.

By the by, Kimmie, those are very cute pics. I especially like the one with the vegetation on your head.

But...but...but...if men start paying attention to the things I do and say rather than my breasts...where will my self-esteem come from?!?!?!
you snooze, you lose
well I have snozzed and lost
I'm pushing through
I'll disregard the cost
I hear the bells
so fascinating and
I'll slug it out
I'm sick of waiting
and I can
hear the bells are
ringing joyful and triumphant

If breast attention is running low, Jebus and I can probably provide some attention/praise in emergency situations from a safely long range. . we can't have your self-esteem running low!But...but...but...if men start paying attention to the things I do and say rather than my breasts...where will my self-esteem come from?!?!?!

heh, I find that happens regularly (imagining people on the internet to look different than they do). I should also note that the hand holding the star in my avatar is actually mine. After seeing you, Thomas, I was completely taken off guard. You look nothing like what I imagined. Neither did Hive_King (Nick) or Jebus (Paul) for that matter. I feel like your pictures really tell me a lot about your personality.

Jebus' picture always catches me off guard. For some reason I always picture him as a woman playing with various stringy things (nylon guitar strings, rubber bands) with her tongue.. Stupid, right? Where do I come up with this stuff...After seeing you, Thomas, I was completely taken off guard. You look nothing like what I imagined. Neither did Hive_King (Nick) or Jebus (Paul) for that matter. The only person I was really surprised about, that I can recall, was Jason. I think it was because I saw his picture 2 years after he was first on the board -which was probably a year or so after we started talking- whereas I saw most of the older and newer posters' pictures before I formed any ideas of my own.
Thomas looks exactly right because the picture was put up so fast (good job, you). I also get the urge to play with his hair every time I see a picture of his; I like shaggy hair on guys.
Jefe, on the other hand, doesn't look different than I imagined...he just looks different in all the pictures I have seen of him.

I hope that you were pleasantly surprised, at least. But wait, that might mean you thought I was ugly. The only person I was really surprised about, that I can recall, was Jason. Wait, what? How did we go from hope for a pleasant surprise to worry over me possibly thinking you were ugly?I hope that you were pleasantly surprised, at least. But wait, that might mean you thought I was ugly.
You showed us in chat, so Janelle and I had a brief conversation and agreed that you are indeed attractive. But you know what would be awesome? If you maybe smiled every once in a while. You always look so serious, which makes me want to throw some Joker your way: Why so serious, Jason? Why.so.serious?!
And hey, does that mean you've never put your picture on Pweb if JL doesn't know what you look like?

I just meant that if you were surprised by my appearance the first time you saw my picture, one could assume that you were either disappointed (ie. I wasn't as good looking as you had imagined) or pleasantly surprised (ie. I was better looking than you expected). If the latter, one could also assume that you thought that I was unattractive, though based on no actual evidence .
In other words, I was just trying to be like a girl and put you in a no-win scenario where I could pretend to take offense to whatever you said.
For the record, before seeing your picture I had always mentally associated you with your old avatar. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that you are far less furry than an Ewok, if not much taller.
And no, I have never posted a picture of myself on pweb.

I was about to say "Why not!?", but I guess you probably have a good reason. And no, I have never posted a picture of myself on pweb.
Don't worry Jason, you're beautiful!

Well if you say it like that people are going to think I have a deformity or something and you're just being nice.I was about to say "Why not!?", but I guess you probably have a good reason. And no, I have never posted a picture of myself on pweb.

Seriously though, the only reason I don't post my picture is because it's my last line of anonymity. I have this irrational fear that one of my students will stumble across pweb and learn that their teacher posts here. Then I'll have to always act like there's a student in the room, so to speak. Then what would I do when I want to vent about how Whitey's keeping me down? lol. Just kidding about that last part.
I've been tempted to maybe change my avatar to an actual picture of myself just for one day... maybe.
