I wish I could pull off the flower in my hair look.
I think you can. To prove it to you, I'll have a handmade flower hair clip waiting for you when you get here and I'll put it in your hair myself! ;)

Marissa, I was looking into dying my hair that color this upcoming fall; it looks great on you.
Alea you totally should dye your hair this color! i love it sooo much lol its way fun to have red hair... :) but part of the reason i love it soo much is because (weirdly) it fades to the color of my eyes... you can almost tell in my pic... (way weird that somehow i have red in my eyes)

haha maybe i am a fairy.... ;)

I didn't do the baby contest thing, but since so many people thought Luet was me/Ginny, I thought I'd dig out and scan a baby pic!

My girlfriend's chinchilla really liked perching in my armpit for some reason. We couldn't get her to come out.

Maybe the name "Claire" is just associated with blond hair. Heroes influence?

Anyway, guilty here, too.

They're weird, Claire. I distinctly remember you being dark-haired and looking pretty much as you do now -I think the last picture you posted, you were on a boat. (Great pictures, by the way)

Congrats Bonito, Syphon, and Wil!

The eyes just don't have enough expression in them, I think. The entire expression just looks forced to me.

What Wil said mostly, but also the fact that you had an arm wrapped around your shoulder- as if someone (possibly your parents or your friend) dragged you there and said "let's take a picture". And in such a situation, a smile is almost always fake.

But mostly the expression thing.

I assumed it was real because I don't recall him ever having an open-mouthed smile in any picture he has posted and when I'm doing the nearest thing to a fake smile I can do, it's close-mouthed.

Honestly, though, I don't understand how people can do fake smiles. If I'm pissed/sad/annoyed, I cannot fake a smile for the life of me. They may be uncomfortable smiles or I may be smiling at the running commentary in my head if it's a situation I really don't want to be smiling at but I can't fake them. The best I can typically scrounge up is a corner-twitch and even that tends to lead to a real smile because I feel like an ass for thinking I can fake it.

[/overly long thoughts on fake vs. real smiling]
