I feel really guilty whenever someone brings up Grimm, since I've never watched it despite it being set here and filming here all the time.

If you have the time to catch up on it its a really great show, and its fun seeing Portland on TV

It's almost always a mistake to bring back a show via spin-off.

The Walking Dead. I sobbed. I mean, sobbed. For about five minutes after. Like I've said, I have NO equanimity where babies and children are concerned. And how will they feed the baby? And, augh.

Also, I am SO irritated with Andrea. So annoyed. She does have a soft spot for crazy male authority figures, doesn't she?

I am one of those obnoxious "But, in the comic..." people for this episode. I didn't cry because I was too busy thinking of how lame this was compared to the real sense of loss I felt from the comic version.

But yes, Andrea in the show is pathetic. That I can agree with.

I'm completely opposite with this. The comic didn't really leave a lasting impression on me at all, but I bawled last episode. Over all, i've really enjoyed the show a LOT more then I enjoyed the comic.

Also, I really really dislike Andrea.

I'm with you, Alea. I read the comics between last season and this one, and it just wasn't the same. I was never a fan of Lori on the show - she bugged the heck out of me. I wasn't UNaffected that she died at all, but I felt like it was a given as soon as Carol was practicing C-Sections on Walkers. There was no way she was getting a C-section in the middle of the zombie apocalypse and surviving. I have too big of a chip on my shoulder about Hollywood birth.

Exactly. I didn't cry and was disappointed but it did affect me still, a little. I think part of the disappointment for me was they rushed through the build up of seeing them settle in for long enough to start believing they could stay there always and Rick wasn't there to see that his choices led to Lori and the baby dying. Without that optimism being built up so strongly, Lori's death just felt like another death and not like the slap in the face it should have been. And not that Rick deserved to lose his loved ones, it was more obvious in the comics that he was being pig-headed and just flat out wrong about some of the things he was doing/ways he was acting and I don't think the show did a great job of showing just how fractured his relationship with Lori and some of the others had gotten.

But don't get me wrong, I'm not always "The comics were better." There are plenty of changes the show has made that I felt made it stronger or equal to the source.

I'm so glad I haven't read the comics. I don't find that medium all that affecting, and it would totally ruin me for the show.

I just started the very first episode of Walking Dead because everybody and their mother says it is amazing. One problem though: I hate zombies. 20 minutes in and I don't think I can take it.

I just got through the first five episodes of Undeclared. I wasn't all that impressed for most of the first episode but I, obviously, warmed up to it and have really enjoyed the rest so far.

I haven't seen all of Undeclared, but I remember really liking what I did see.

So, my nephew got me completely hooked on Adventure Time. To the point where he actually had to ask me if we could please watch something else.

I watched all of Undeclared when it first aired and the occasional repeat since then. I loved it but don't remember too much (other than the great cast!).

I thought it was going to be a flashback until it just kept going and all the events were well past relevant at that point.

One thing I forgot to mention before is how wonderful the soundtrack to this show is.

I discovered that Sherlock was on Amazon Instant Prime yesterday, so I watched "A Study in Pink", and guys! Guys!

I'm starting to think I will never make it back to a time in my life where I watch tv shows on a regular basis. Right now, I just don't have the time sans kids, or the dvr/netfilx subscription, to make it really work. And now I'm so far behind on everything that it feels impossible to catch up. Ever. Maybe I've just turned into a non-tv person. Weird.

On a completely different note, I think it's absolutely ADORABLE that my Grandma gets together with some other old ladies once a week to watch episodes of Downtown Abbey.

Hmmm. You guys make me think we need to give Undeclared another shot. We adored Freaks and Geeks, but we barely made it through the pilot of Undeclared. We didn't bother to continue with it.

I'm pretty slow on the uptake because I just kept watching them in the Netflix order even after I realized the one episode was horrifically out of place. It made for a rather confusing last episode experience when it took me far back in the story yet again.

I don't know if you've gotten to the episode with Tina and the How Bizarre song by OMC but that episode has my favorite scene from the entire show in it. And the Adam Sandler episode was just soooo awkward for me to watch; it was just barely redeemed by one of the last lines in the episode.

Should I watch Freaks and Geeks? I've heard good things about it but I never thought about trying it out before.

I think I mentioned above that it took most of the first episode for me to warm up to the show but then I really enjoyed it. zero decided he wanted to watch it -he was a little bummed I didn't wait to watch it with him but I didn't know he was interested until I was 4 episodes from finishing; oops- and he's enjoyed it enough to watch most of it in one sitting with intentions of finishing today but he also found the characters extremely annoying and some of the storyline to be trite.

Freaks and Geeks is even better. So good.

Alright. :) I think that was also on Streaming, so I might give that a try soon. I'll definitely start it at some point, though, if not soon.

Despite being disappointed in how they handled Lorrie in the last episode, I think they did a brilliant job with Rick in this episode.

I finally checked out an episode of Castle because it happened to be on. I thought it was alright, but I like procedurals and Nathan Fillion. However, my mind was blown by the people that I recognized in this episode. There was Captain Malcolm Reynolds from Firefly (obviously), Riley from Buffy, Amber from House, the head of the mafia from Boondock Saints, a guy from Mad TV (no idea how I recognized him) and the kicker, Shawn Hunter from Boy Meets World. From what I can tell everyone but Fillion was a one off character. So now I think maybe I enjoyed it because I remembered so many people. I might check out another episode some time soon.

This. I LOVED Glenn in last night's episode. I love him and Maggie, so much.

And if Michonne talked much more than she currently does, she'd seem out of character to me.

Frankly, then, I'm really just irritated with her character. A lot. Yay for the magical black friend trope incarnate. She has no past, no inner life we need to bother with, she just exists to help out the largely white rest of the cast. What a waste. Like T-Dog. Hey, there's a new black male character! So, guess what? Your totally undeveloped character gets offed.
