seriously, the very best anytime, any mood food.......................................................Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches!
I like peanut butter and dill pickles too.

The best ice cream I ever put in my mouth is Mayfield Carmel Coyote.

The chocolate covered expresso beans are called 'crack-berries'.

A nice, crisp apple
I concur, wholeheartedly.

Continuing with fruit: perfectly ripe oranges (bonus points to the ones that peel easily).

Is it bad that I can eat a bag of chocolate-covered espresso beans and not feel a thing?

My mom's homemade chocolate chip cookies. Specifically her's because they're better than other people's homemade cookies and you don't have to be related to her to think that.
I have to say the same thing about my mother's homemade chocolate chip cookies. They are to die for. My friends actually admit that they are better than their mother's cookies (and they are even in their mother's presence when they say this). That has to mean something....
I dunno, my dad's chocolate chip cookies are better then any i've ever tried.

There's this potato goup that my older sister makes, it's happiness.

I would say it's bad if eating a bag of those suddenly causes your entire body to go numb. Might want to check out the hospital sometime soon.

I have an addiction to Oriental food - steamed shrimp dumplings, kobe beef, lettuce wraps, shrimp tempura, general tso's chicken, shrimp in lobster sauce, Pocky, Ramune, japanese candies...etc, etc...

Anything from the restaurant Brio is a mouthgasm.

My grandmother's pot roast.

Homemade cookies.

Matzo ball soup, Italian Wedding Soup, Minestrone soup...

Lobster Tail, Filet Mignon with bernaise, Chateau Briand...

Chocolate Mousse

Eggs Benedict

i am only on day two of my diet and already i never ever want to look at cottage cheese, tuna, plain chicken, raw vegetables, salad, melba toast, grapefruit specifically, fruit generally, or bottled water ever, ever, ever, ever again. and i actually really loved and enjoyed all of those foods up until two days ago.

i want nachos and pizza and pasta and chocolate chip cookies and ice cream and oil and salt and butter on everything.
you snooze, you lose
well I have snozzed and lost
I'm pushing through
I'll disregard the cost
I hear the bells
so fascinating and
I'll slug it out
I'm sick of waiting
and I can
hear the bells are
ringing joyful and triumphant

What I'm hungry for right at the moment is Potatoes O'Brian, shredded potatoes pan-fried with chopped sweet pepper and onion, nicely browned, and topped with Brooks' spicy catsup.

Okay, I'm a redneck, but it's been so durn long!

i'm currently enjoying:

a nice cold glass of pomegranate juice
and
a 60% cocoa chocolate bar with finely ground espresso beans.

sounds weird but it's so good.

winter favorites:
hot cocoa made with milk and a handful of mini-marshmallows added OR hot cocoa topped with foamed milk, then sprinkle cinnamon & nutmeg on it
hot chamomile tea with a touch of honey
fresh super dark, super rich coffee
homemade spiced cider while it's still piping hot
homemade pizza covered with LOTS of homegrown veggies and herbs
homemade stew with lots of veggies
homemade veggie/chicken/turkey pot pie
butternut squash soup
miso soup
sweet potato pancakes
steel-cut irish oats with a bit of milk
toasted sourdough covered with nutella

summer favorites:
hibiscus tea, with plenty of cracked ice
homemade fruit punch - using fresh fruit, not just juice
sangria
white wine, sparkling wine or champagne
cucumber, celery, and yogurt salad
gazpacho
wakame (seaweed) salad
tomatoes, parsley & mint, and hummus go into the pita pocket first, then a quartered falafel and spicy mango sauce over it all. mmmm.
mini quiche and fruit tarts
herb potato salad (no mayo, sour cream, eggs, etc.) - just potatoes, fresh herbs, salt & pepper and lemon juice
sliced tomatoes with salt & pepper
cubed watermelon (any melon, really)
fruit salad
homemade vanilla ice cream with coarsely ground espresso beans
crepes with fresh fruit
a bowl of corn flakes with icy cold milk

... i can hardly wait for summer. i love winter dearly but summer is definitely the time for living life to the fullest.

My culinary experiences in Barcelona:

Tortilla español (a sort of potato cake thing, with onions. the onions are necessary).

Sangría, with oranges floating in it.

Spanish-style hot chocolate (that is, like hot pudding... mmm...).

Low-cal orange Fanta (I've only seen it in one supermarket).

Through exposure, I'm also becoming more and more fond of artichokes.

Miso soup.

Fetticune Alfredo with vegatables is so great.

Vietnamese rice noodle salads with spring rolls.

Homemade mash potatoes.

Homemade shrimp scampi.

Portobello burgers, sure they're messy but the taste is a gastronomic experience.

Guacamole with fresh salsa.
