Indecent Exposure - In your house?

Man arrested for indecent exposure - inside his home.

After being watched through his bathroom window - which does not face the street - for years by his neighbors, they called the police; who subsequently set up surveillance to watch him in his own home. And when the inevitable happened, he was arrested - for onanism inside his own residence. I don't know about you all, but I'm not going to lie and say I don't - and this guy should do exactly what I would in his situation: sue the ass off of the police and his neighbors for his humiliation, detainment and public shame.

Can't he get voyeurism charges or something against his neighbors?

All I know is if I ever saw one of my neighbors naked, I'd probably gouge my eyes out and build a privacy fence along the property line to protect my family from the horror. But never would it cross my mind to press charges against someone who was naked in their own house.

Wow.

I don't know what to say to that...

Wow.

That is one of the most ridiculous things I have ever heard in my life.

Yeah, that's up there with the woman who spilled coffee (which she bought at McDonald's) on herself in a moving vehicle and then sued McDonald's for having HOT COFFEE.

This is a sign of our depraved times.

Of course, I could see some justification behind this, if, for example, the man was aware of his neighbors watching him and was wanking deliberately so that they would see....

So not very likely that this was justified.

It seems like there might be more to this story then just an "out of the blue" neighbor complaint.
I'm betting there's a history there. This may be a neighborly feud that's gone on for a long time.

"Killen said the accusations by his neighbors were made amid a years-long feud that began over a dog relieving itself in his yard. "

That's some guess.

But apart from the feud, it doesn't seem like we're getting the full story here, I don't feel like automatically assuming that the police are completely incompetent.

Something like this happened in Canada a few years back... I think it got resolved in that the guy didn't do anything wrong and the judge threw out the case.

I'm with Mobius. Why would anybody actually watch their nude neighbor, let alone film him? Maybe if the guy was in a street-facing room, and clearly showing off, there would be sense behind the arrest. It's his home--he can be as naked as he wants.

*is vaguely remindind of Friends*

Man i too am with Mobius on this. If i saw any of my neighbors nude, after gouging my eyes out I would ask my neighbor to put up some curtains.

If you told someone that you could easily see them doing that they would more than likely be so embarrassed they would do whatever’s necessary so you could not see them.

Wow, I think that's the first time I've ever seen a unanimous poll on this board. And now that I've said that, I'm taking a screenshot since some smartass is bound to vote for something else, just because.

Hey, the poll's at fifteen and no one has voted diffrent yet. maybe there's hope. (slim chance)

I don't know, I would need more information before voting. However, one of the two "yeses" is achin' for a vote...
