No need to be embarrassed about wanting to be a mom, Confessions. :)

I've never heard of it. But then, I don't think my university had any fountains or waterways of any sort.

I was confused. what better time to jump in the fountains you've wanted to jump in for the last four years than the last night before graduation?

glad you clarified.

I totally registered this name because there was a newbie who chose the moniker "Deinonychus", which is a great name. But brontosauruses are still the best.

Confession: I nearly cried when we watched Dear Zachary tonight. I almost had to leave the room. That was the most powerful documentary I've ever seen, the best made one, and a surprisingly uplifting one.

But damn, it sure hit close to home.

Confession: The recent AIM update (or maybe I was behind and it's not all that recent) kind of kicked me in the ass and when I try to explain why to myself, given how small this is in the scheme of things and how small the changes were, I feel stupid.

I'm on 7.2.6.1 and I always deny its ability to update until they force me to update. in general updates make the program more intrusive and less functional while applying a skin that is much more annoying than the one before it.

I still have AIM 5.5.3598 on my laptop. It's never forced an update that I can remember, and since I use pidgin now, I hardly even log in.

Confession: I am perversely pleased by the fact now that he's openly professed his love to her, he talks to me more frequently. Is it because now he isn't hiding anything or is it because if I were to snap my fingers and move to California, he'd pick me? Whatever.

RE: AIM. I can't remember exactly what the little message said but there was at least something about "this version is no longer supported." It could be me making it up after the fact but I'm pretty sure it wasn't an option to opt out of upgrading. Maybe I'm confusing that with stupid FB..."Interested in these things still? Either join the public page or you can't tell anyone." Blegh.

Confession: I can never seem to understand the little diagrams on gas pumps that tell you which way is the correct way for the credit card to face. I always end up putting it in backwards when I try to follow the instructions on unfamiliar pumps (and, occasionally, on familiar ones).

I'm like that too with anything that involves swiping a card. I just end up trying every possible combination of facing up/down, and swipe left-to-right/right-to-left until I get some indication that it worked. Then I won't even be sure which one worked so it's the same thing all over again next time. :)

That's why the new chipped cards are the best, all you have to do is stick it in.

I do not ever take care of my fingernails, other than occasionally trimming them when required. However, occasionally, I spend money on nail-care items feeling that I would like to resolve this.

Because of this, I have discovered that cutical sticks are the perfect implement for scratching off lottery tickets. Particularly the crossword one that my fiance and I get pretty often. (Not that often. I still remember the lessons of my 7-11 days.) The crossword scratchoff tickets requires a lot more precision than most of them, and a coin just won't do. I used to have a nifty little free scratch off thinger that worked okay, it was metal, and it worked okay, but then it got lost. Tweezers were adequate, but awkward. This is easily the most efficient and best feeling scratch-off implement ever. This discovery probably makes me way too happy.

Also, relatedly, I scratch off the letters at the bottom of the crossword puzzle two at a time. I always end up laughing to myself when the letter combo I scrach off is BM or BO. My inner preteen gets the giggles really, really easily sometimes. This happens with enough frequency that I sometimes imagine a bored lottery employee is doing it on purpose.

Confession: I know it's a migraine when it makes me silly and afraid of being alone all at once.

I guess it's not really a confession.

Real Confession: I have a migraine now, and I've lost the will to censor the silly.

Confession: It's Friday night and I'm sitting on the computer trying to organize/understand my finances.

Confession: I've not done this properly in the last 4 years. I've been coasting with absolutely no idea where I stood incoming vs. outgoing money.

Confession: It has always been my goal to live a life where the individual dollars and cents wouldn't cause me to require such an action...

Confession: I'm a pretty s***** mini-mod. The book club was resurrected and I had no idea.
you snooze, you lose
well I have snozzed and lost
I'm pushing through
I'll disregard the cost
I hear the bells
so fascinating and
I'll slug it out
I'm sick of waiting
and I can
hear the bells are
ringing joyful and triumphant

If it's not entirely (or at all, I hope) condescending to say, I've been pretty happy thanks to your signing in more often and posting a bit more.

That's not really related to the book club, I just thought I'd share.

Plus I'm hoping you get to a magic number so you can do that landmark.
