Of course, that is coming from someone who sleeps with a teddy bear every night. And, when Brian and I are doing scripture study at night, sometimes, Bob (the bear) even acts out what's going on, just to add a little spice.

I love the idea of acting it out, although there's a few passages where that seems a bit cruel to do to a bear.

I actually use to cuddle with a stuffed Batman, but Will thought it was kinda creepy and he now lives in the spare room. I still have to cuddle with a blanket though, it's the only way I can fall asleep!

I just cuddle with a body pillow who's nicknamed Junior...after Harry Connick, Jr. This is because my husband is jealous of my crush on Connick and also of my cuddling with the body pillow.

I've been totally thinking about getting a body pillow, it's almost impossible to sleep if I can't wrap my arms and legs around something.

I went through 3 regular body pillows that kept getting flattened over time. I finally got a memory foam one (it's shorter than normal, like less than 4') on walmart.com and it's awesome!

I'm actually a cuddler, too, but I prefer a person to a pillow, since I'm always cold.

Oh, I'm always cold, too. I cuddle with him first until I'm warm, then roll over and use the body pillow. And even then, I use him to keep my feet warm. I just sleep better with the pillow.

Who says Rei doesn't get cuddled? Sometimes Teddy (I was a creative child) rests at my back while I hug my husband*, sometimes I hug Teddy while I get hugged. There's plenty of room for cuddling!

What he said! I confess to panic attacks during my most recent filling, the first one that required drilling. I also confess that I'll probably have more of them, unless it's with the same dentist (the gentlest EVER, who didn't even make fun of me!).

I'm a huge baby when it comes to the dentist, but I really had to go and get all those fillings and cleanings done. I'm way better about it now, I don't panic and tear up anymore (although, if I had to get a root canal, I no doubt would).

Hopefully everything went smoothly and quick!

Confession: for the past year I've been thinking my dad's birthday came a day later than it actually does.

Luckily my gift arrived a day earlier than I wanted.

I'm a grinch. It's Day One of the Christmas playlists and I'm not sure I'll make it to Christmas without snapping.

Watching How the Grinch Stole Christmas this year, I really felt for the Grinch for the first time. "All that noise, that noise, that NOISE NOISE NOISE NOISE," and you know, I was thinking, 1) apparently kids playing with Christmas toys affect him like the Kit-Kat commercial affects me, and he doesn't have a mute button, and I would snap, too, I would probably come up with a plan to steal all the Kit-Kats if there was some Kit-Kat celebration day, and 2) you know, if he doesn't celebrate Christmas, it's understandable that he would want peace and quiet. Really, the Whos down in Whoville are rather inconsiderate neighbors. I mean, he is way up in the mountains and he can hear it? It wouldn't be asking that much to tone it down a bit.

I'm a grinch. It's Day One of the Christmas playlists and I'm not sure I'll make it to Christmas without snapping.

I'm sort of a grinch myself before (our) Thanksgiving. The Christmas season doesn't start for me until December 1st.

I'm sort of a Grinch about Thanksgiving every year but especially this year. The only two things I look forward to on Thanksgiving are the dinner rolls and cinnamon rolls that we normally get and I'm getting neither this year.

As for Christmas, I couldn't care less about the religious aspect and I couldn't care less about the presents, I just like the atmosphere and the whimsy of it all. Christmas carols (the religious ones are still pretty, even if I don't actually care about the message in them), lights (I consider it public, if a bit unoriginal, art), cold weather, fun foods and drinks. It's a December thing or at least a post-Thanksgivinglypse thing, so being Grinchy before that is a-okay in my books.

It looks like i am in the minority... i am not a grinch i love the christmas season, actually, i like hearing carrols and the lights on the street, the christmas deserts... and well, what's important too, the fact that people is in better mood and is (or should be) kinder to each other.
I can really sympathize with Scrooge's nephew.

I quite like the Christmas season, too. Although I do wish more places would wait at least until after Christ the King to decorate and start playing Christmas music everywhere.

I feel bad for the TSA lately and I'm not really liking all this "f*** flying and f*** the US" talk. I think of people like Brian, just doing their job, and I think they're probably not enjoying any of this any more than the public but they're being demonized. Were this the 1700s, I wouldn't be surprised to see them tarred and feathered.

I will keep flying, as rarely as I do it, I will keep doing it.

Ditto that. I feel horrible for Kelly but I really hope that was an isolated case of a TSA worker going too far and not the norm. I am flying in two weeks and we'll see how it goes.

I'm really not a Grinch. I just felt bad for the Grinch. I had a lot of empathy for him. I'm not sure why, exactly, I never have before. I blame Kit-Kat.

Also, I don't really care if it was an isolated incident or not, as far as TSA goes. I think the whole thing is a gross violation of unreasonable search and privacy laws. And, no, really, not everyone does have a choice about whether or not to fly. So, "If you don't like it, just don't fly" doesn't hold water.

I deal with a LOT of people who have been seriously abused and had their personal boundaries violated in some very disturbing ways. Frankly, my thoughts on first hearing the reports were on how completely f****** triggering even the least invasive of these supposedly minimally invasive searches would be. I think this is the main reason why the whole thing enrages me so much. I mean, I would hate it if I were not viscerally enraged by it, for a lot of reasons. But rage + utterly despising the policy = f*** Flying. (As if the airline industry weren't doing enough to try to ensure it's own demise in the past several years, anyhow.)

As far as the individual TSA workers go, I have sympathy. I have a ton of sympathy. My disagreement is not so much with the workers who really are just doing their jobs as with the entire policy as a whole and the people who put it in place.

I definitely fall into this category. I have spent the last 4 years in and out of therapy trying to move past it. I guess since I have no choice but to fly in two weeks (and by myself, at that), I'm trying to hope for the best so I don't have constant panic attacks in the meantime.

I take a fairly passive approach to the policy aspect of things because my general feeling is that if I can't do anything about it, I try not to get worked up about it. It doesn't mean I agree with the policy. And I'm not saying it's the right way to react. It's just my way of keeping relative peace of mind.

I have very little to add (partially because my own personal opinions of the TSA are already echoed here and my choice of verbiage would be less than acceptable for their environment), however I did want to share a couple of links.

First, as much as the individuals performing the searches are the cause of some searches being done improperly, they don't necessarily enjoy that aspect of their jobs any more than we do. link

Second, pro tip - there has been a recent change to the TSA's practices that say Muslim women can only be patted town around their head/neck. link. A smart woman would use this as a way around these super invasive procedures. Hint hint...

I wonder...if a large portion of the US believes terrorists = muslims, yet it's only non-muslim white women being accosted....security?
