Confession: I wish I had skipped school on Thursday, like many people I know did. Not because the Phillies won the World Series (though I am happy about that), but because my day just would've been that much better if I hadn't gone to school.

Confession: I don't want to watch SNL and Oldboy nearly as badly as I am pretending to. Trust me, I WANT to watch them both. But mostly, I just want attention. My family is all gone, and I've been sick in bed all day in an empty house. I just really want my bf to come over to watch them with me so that I have some company..

Confession: yesterday I stopped at a rug store in hollywood looking for a rug for my bedroom. Even the nice rugs were crappy and the guy there was pressuring me to buy a lame navajo style rug that was extremely coarse but quite pretty. he was trying to sell it to me for 600 claiming that it was a 1800 rug, I wasn't buying that, but I talked him down to 500 cash, then left to get the cash and didn't go back. I sort of feel like an a****** but am also relieved, his products were crap and the markups from which the 'big discount' was taken were totally off base, especially compared to the real quality stuff I saw today. Additionally, I've an idea of how much an actually indian made rug goes for as Joplin is not very far from a lot of oklahoma reservations, and something like that doesn't go for 500 in the midwest. I found some rugs I liked today, but I talked a friend into going with me tomorrow when I take a second look, so that I have a second pair of eyes/ second opinion.

Confession: I think Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance is much better than Oldboy, which is not a very popular opinion

Confession: I'm staying home from grad school. Because I'm sick. I could probably go, as I spent all night at my bf's house and he even thought I was fine enough to kiss and all. But I feel icky, and I haven't used my one absense from these classes yet, and they're almost over. :P

Confession: Whisper of the Heart often makes me squeal in delight, audibly. good thing no one else is up to hear it, or me going, Kitty! Kitty! Kitty! (ahem, or Neko!Neko!Neko!) when we first see Muta, practically bouncing on the bed. This movie turns me into an eight year old :/

I love Whisper of the Heart. I might need to go commandeer the common room tv now. SO CUTE.

An eight-year-old girl, apparently. But this is the confessional, and there is no judgment here....

I think that letting an artists political, religious, or moral beliefs put you off to their works very dumb. Just because OSC is a nutcase doesn't mean you didn't enjoy his writings; doesn't mean you shouldn't continue to enjoy his writings still. Don't judge a book by its author; judge the book by what the author wrote inside!

I think disagreeing with someone in another thread and then carrying it over to the Confessions thread (instead of addressing it there or, I don't know, maybe asking about how they came to that conclusion) is dumb.

I think that the person who did that didn't want to derail the thread and thought it to be mostly unrelated and unimportant overall but he probably still say what he wanted to say.

I don't know though, I could be wrong. Alls I know is that that someone is a huge ass for doing that! What an ass that guy is! Seriously!

Of course, and if it does, and you dislike it, then you've successfully judged the book by the contents. Congrats!
And derail this thread instead. :D
Except I wasn't the one that did that. My post was a legitimate confession.

Well, exactly. The distinction between the two is artificial and arbitrary.
My post was a legitimate confession.

*My friends and I got matching pajamas for our Twilight Overnight*

No, we're not 13! The pajamas are super cute (lime green with darker green, pink and white polka dots) and we're getting a suite for the night so we can see the Twilight movie and then shop the whole next day. It's going to be 24 hours away from our kids and I'm so looking forward to it!

*My husband is getting his fill of me*

Our 5 year anniversary is coming up in a month and we're escaping to Steamboat for 4 days. The anticipation is like unto a honeymoon except that it's perfectly acceptable for us to get it on now instead of waiting until December. So yeah. He's gettin' a lot.

*bittersweet sigh* Have I ever told you how awesome I think you are? Quite seriously. I want you to be my friend; well, a local one. That sounds like my idea of fun (minus the shopping, sorry) and all my friends here think they're too cool for that sort of thing.

I love the sound of those PJs, by the by. I started appreciating both lime green and polka dots last year.

Confession: I'm more ashamed than it may seem about taking ~2 years to get to 1000 posts and the last ~1.5 mos to get 200+. I know there's a very reasonable explanation, but it doesn't make me feel better at all; kind of makes me feel worse.

Confession: I really enjoy a guy with stubble.

Michael showed me the trailer for Nathan Fillion's new show and it, as well as the newest EW cover with Robert Pattinson, reminded me of how much I like a day or two's worth of it on a guy. It mostly just looks good but it can be fun to play with, as well.

confession, while I no longer have the goatee, I only shave once a week (monday or sunday usually) because I think it looks a bit better actually with stubble. I can't keep the stubble because it itches like mad after about 6-7 days.

Oh yeah? Confession: I only shave twice a week, because if I don't I look like that one middle schooler (or junior high schooler, or secondary school [?]) that thought he could grow a mustache and/or sideburns and/or a goatee, but really failed at it and only got these annoying wisps or maybe two long hairs on his chin. It's so pathetic that I'm 20.

I shave about once or twice a week because I don't have time to every morning ("morning" meaning "when I get up"). I would (and used to) shave every day if I could; have that damn stuff.

(It seriously can look damn cool, though)

I shave every day or two, it grows in pretty thick pretty quickly if I don't. Even now that I'm sporting the goatee look, I try to keep the rest pretty clean. That's partially because after 3 days without shaving my boss will start to bitch at me for looking like a homeless guy. If I shave the goatee, I usually only have to wait a few days to have it in respectable standings again...

Actually, what I should've done is made that link I just posted a rickroll. It's amazing how many people still fall for that, even - or perhaps, especially - when it's glaringly obvious. It's like the old "Don't click here." pop-up traps from yesteryear, some people just can't resist.

Confession: I hate firewalls and anti-virus software (due to a long and very personal history with them), and, six years into owning my own computer and not even being careful, I have finally been taken down. I downloaded AVG.

But seriously, how ironic is it that I use Trend MicroSystems HouseCall for all my anti-virus needs, and then get a trojan that stops all direct access to websites with the words "anti-virus" or "anti-spyware" in them?

Guh, reminds me of that old TLC program "A Wedding Story." My mom used to watch it all the time, immediately followed by "A Baby Story," which always seemed to feature the most ugly newborns you have ever seen. Babies aren't P-Web babies in RL, apparently. I can still remember the theme to "A Wedding Story," somehow.
