Here's where you can post suggestions for what you'd like to see us read for the book club. The rules for this area are that you give the title, author, and tell us why we, the mods, should pick your book for this club.

The Enchantress of Florence, by Salman Rushdie

Think Arabian Nights meets Machiavelli's The Prince.

A storyteller appears at a Muslim court in the East and begins to tell a story, a story that draws us back to Florence under the Medici family (15th, 16th centuries) and involves Machiavelli. There's a mystery as to whom the storyteller is and what the storyteller's purpose is, and what exactly the link between East and West is in the story.
