I was only really sure about 3, 4 and 8. The toughest one for me was 6, so whoever you are, you don't look anything like that anymore!

Alea, you might want to put some spaces between the pics or make it clearer which numbers go with which pictures. I think a few people have answered based on connecting the wrong number with the wrong picture.

I'm so bummed I missed 2 challenges for finals. Stupid finals. (granted, the almost straight A's was probably worth it. Stupid radiology missing it by 1 test question... and they threw out 3 test questions i did get right because they were badly written...)

It resulted in all ties being broken, finally. Updated scores are up (4pts x 7 possible correct answers - 28 pts possible); quite a few got 5 correct.I think this is going to shift the scores around radically.
Next week will be much easier, though more tedious, just so you're warned.

Really? Wasn't expecting that. I thought the guys were fairly easy. Along with 3 and 4, which I was fairly confident, but the other three were just guesses. The portraits thread helped a little with 7. 2 was an educated guess in which I give an assist to the cat. The last one was a complete guess.
And yes, alts for me would be an epic fail. So if want to torture me, then go ahead because I'll still try my hardest to figure it out.

Not gonna lie, that's all pure guess, save for one or two that I *think* I've seen before. Mostly based on who kinda-sorta looks like who, if squinting. Luckily, they're all older people I know...from what I can gather...

Oh boy, we have moved on from "difficult" to "impossible".
Almost all of these are guesses.... but guess I must! I don't remember what most people even look like, and I'm not good with identifying based on pictures anyway.

Congratulations to Nicole, who was the only person to get all 8 correct; Ed wasn't too far behind with 7 out of 8.
I don't want to steal anyone's thunder so if you'd like to come out and say who you were in the lineup and haven't already done so, now's the time. (I am Chunky Monkey #4, which doesn't seem to have shocked anyone.)

Okay, here's the deal. I want Jota and Jan to play, I don't want people worrying about downloading anything, IP addresses, hunting down copies/editions, etc. Making your lives difficult was not the intent (unless you're ED *grin*).
I will scan the pages out of my book, to ensure we're all working from the same source material. If, like Adam, you got most clues (the essential ones) figured out from Google Books and can move on, then don't worry about this. If you haven't, wait until tonight/tomorrow. I'll get everything in the opening post tonight but you may NOT post any answers until midnight CA time (so you may as well wait until tomorrow -5/20).
The clues will change slightly, to accomodate the different version of EG but it will be the same format. Since you no longer need to worry about page number, you worry about line# and word#, find whatever word is at that point, piece it together, and it will lead you to Part 2. The actual answer I'll be looking for in this thread, as well as the bonus, will be explained in Part 2.
You'll know the new stuff is up when the title changes back to "Task 5 Is Up."

I just copied and broke up my answers, I didn't know if you wanted them written out again.
As for part 2, I know it was late September, because I want to say it was almost a week after my birthday (it was my birthday wish : p) So, i'm going to go with September 26th (if i'm remembering things correctly).

Meanwhile, I think I'm stupid. At first I thought the link was t=9408, but when that didn't work, I went to the correct one and couldn't figure out what to do. I thought maybe I was looking for someone's birthday during the competition. And then I noticed the links (woo for no invisitype links) and felt like a big moron. Anyway, the rebirth was in late September 2006. No idea what day. 28th?

For those who have finished but didn't get the bonus question (those who could sum it up have been given credit so far; I'm not picky, I just want to know you know what you're talking about), I had you submit this first and asked for the bonus in PM so you could take your time on it if need be. The answer is on the board somewhere and no, it's not a recent addition.

Which takes me to the Birthday topic. But what is the question? I don't have time to scour the board for it, so I'll assume the Birthday topic is the correct answer and be on my way.
