I see how it is. When wedding invites are on the line everybody acts excited.

hah! If that were the case, it'd still be far from everyone; only elf, Wil, and Teresa showed hints of "excitement" on Facebook. Good thing I won't actually be doing invites that way when the time comes. :)

(Though, Shannon, you are invited when that happens. That part I was serious about.)

Hey, it's not my fault that I didn't show interest on fb...I just checked out your page and noticed that only about half of what you've posted in the last few days showed up in my feed. It shows me every random post from people I don't interact with at all, but not your stuff that I actually care about. :(

Oh, no, Steph, I know! Facebook definitely doesn't show everything to everyone, which is why that would be the silliest way ever to gauge interest in anything from friends. :) If you're thinking you're not invited or whatever to a wedding that won't happen for a few years, you're just being silly. It will have nothing to do with photo excitement, here or Facebook; I'll be inviting friends, which you absolutely are. :kisses:

Oh, I knew you'd invite me. (I mean, come on! I'm me! Haha!) I was just being mad at fb!

Yeah, I'm not thrilled by what FB chooses to show of my friends, either. I periodically just go through the most important people in my life to make sure I'm not missing out on anything; I've been told to create a list of those people to make sure I see more but haven't tried it yet to see if that works.

Wedding?!

In the words of Dave McFly: "When the hell did this happen?! Why am I always the last one to know about these things?"

You didn't miss much. We've discussed getting married and set an engagement date for about two years from now (near my 32nd birthday). When it happens, both engagement and wedding, you will be one of the first to know, being my oldest Pweb friend and all.

Hey that's pretty awesome news! Facebook needs to shape up, obviously. This took me by such surprise I assumed I was reading something wrong. Are you guys dating or something?

zero and I? Yes, for a little over a year now. We've met each others families and are moving in together in a few months. :)

ha, yes, I should have known but it's impossible to keep track of who knows what. :P If it makes you feel better, I did ask myself, before posting, "He's kidding, right?" but gave a straight answer just in case.

Thumbs Up: Fraud alert is now on my credit report.

Thumbs Down: I have no idea what my credit score is at the moment and although I'm pretty sure you get a free credit report if you've been a victim of fraud/identity theft, I want to know what my score is without having to pay and without lowering it just from looking. It was a flipping 800...why couldn't these idiots target people who obviously don't care about their score? I might/will hopefully be submitting (for real this time!) an application for an apartment and I would hate to be turned down because of something I didn't do.

Thumbs Up: I have a real day off tomorrow! 6 days in a row of getting home after 7PM, two weeks in a row, isn't terrible and thank goodness I have a job and all that but I'm so tired from working, looking at apartments, and doing various other chores.

Thumbs Down: I might have to cover Sunday if my coworker isn't better by then.

Try Credit Karma. That's how I track my score (for free).

Thanks!

Grrr. I am now at a 758 and two of the hard inquiries (of 3) are due to the two credit cards fraudulently opened. The accounts were closed by fraud departments so why in the hell is it still there? Maybe it's the "may take 6 months to show" rule in effect. The third is from the credit check to rent my apartment and is expected.

I also think one of my credit cards lapsed since I didn't use it (oops), which is also my fault. It lowered my average account age.

Bah.

Bah! :grumble:

I've never had a credit card close due to lack of use. I have really old accounts that I haven't used in years and years. Usually, the only way to close a credit card is to actually call and request the account closed.

I received something in the mail saying if I didn't contact them or use the card, the account would be closed. It was through Wells Fargo, one of the many s***** banks out there who make up their own rules. I'm glad it's closed because I never want to do business with a big bank again; I'll take that hit. If it turns out that was the entire reason for the drop and not the two hard inquiries, I'll shut my trap and accept it as my fault.

A hard inquiry can come with a 3-5 point drop.

Here's the right thread...

So the majority of it would be my letting that account close, I'm assuming. I guess I'll have to suck it up, then. Thanks for the info, Mr. Bologna. :)

(Besides, I still have excellent credit -better than zero's still- despite this drop. Guess I'll just have to build it back up.)

Could be a bigger impact if they were too close together? I just know that when I got my car loan and when I opened store credit (several months apart), the hard inquiries resulted in a 3-5 point drop each.

Thumbs Up: Movie gift card from Secret Santa!
Thumbs Down: Closest theater that takes it is a 7 mile round-trip walk. Or I can catch a train downtown, which would be okay if I was already heading that way but otherwise out of my way.

Thumbs Up: Going home soon, going home soon, going home soon.

Thumbs up: Saw the Hobbit in IMAX (my first imax movie)
Thumbs down: not enough splattering orc blood

Thumbs up: They used alot of the silmarillion in the backstory
Thumbs up/down: Guillermo del Toro

Undecided on whether or not this is a good thing.

Thumbs Up: Got to see my family!
Thumbs Down: Just in time for my dad and two of my three brothers to get in a rather stupid fight.

Thumbs Up: Had a great time hanging out with my nieces, dogs, mom, little brother and dad.
Thumbs Down: Realized how much I really do miss them.

Thumbs Up: I was still happy to come home to Chicago.
Thumbs Down: But seeing my midgets (nephews and nieces) cry when I left last night was so hard.

Thumbs Up: Got to sleep pretty much all day today.
Thumbs Down: Because I flew a red eye back and haven't slept much over the past few days.

Thumbs Up: Great holiday weekend.

Thumbs Up: The Last 5 Years will be performed in March, including on my birthday!! I've already seen it once but I loved it and wouldn't mind seeing it again.

Thumbs Down: The tickets are more than what I paid to see Book of Mormon next month and almost what I paid to see Les Mis, both of which are much bigger productions and were performed in considerably larger venues; I don't know if I'm willing to pay that much for it. At least I've already seen it once, so I wouldn't mind not seeing it again.

Thumbs down: there was a huge power outage this morning and I had to get ready for my first day interning by flashlight.

Thumbs up: I'm interning at a hospital, so I get electricity and heat all day, no matter what.

Up: Taking vitamin D seems to be helping my mood a bit.
Down: Upping my magnesium dosage is messing with my bowels.

Down: My tax refund is going to be way smaller than I anticipated.
Up: I can keep working to make up for that.
Down: I have to keep working.
Up: I am settling in at work and not minding it so much.

Thumbs down: My mom isn't taking care of my tax return for me this year.
Thumbs up: She patiently answers all of my annoying questions.
Thumbs down: I actually have to worry about state taxes for the first time ever.
Thumbs up: Minnesota lets me file online for free because I made no money.
Thumbs down: My PFD isn't taxed until I file, so I generally owe money with my tax return.
Thumbs up: My internship withheld lots of taxes and I am way below the taxable income level, so I may actually end up getting money back anyway. Still waiting fort the final tally on that though.

Thumbs Up: Got all moved out of the old place on Wednesday.
Thumbs Down: It took so much longer than I had thought it would and I got so banged up and bruised in the process.

Thumbs Up: zero and I didn't try to kill each other at all and as far as moving yourselves can go, we had a good time.
Thumbs Down: Still not all set up in the new place because we are waiting on his things (will be a few months) and are getting a few new pieces of furniture. Kind of annoying but definitely a first world problem.

Thumbs Downer: My laptop kicked the bucket. The few times I've had internet the past 4 days has been when zero is not using his laptop.
Thumbs Up: zero is going to build me a new computer.
Thumbs Down: Not how I wanted to spend that little cushion of money I had. Also going to be a few days to a week before it is built.
Thumbs Down: I miss being connected, though honestly more to FB than to Pweb.

Thumbs...Adjusting: Living with another person after a year to myself is...different. In both good and bad ways.
