I can definitely do something about the earpin. Just remind me which color/kind and which ear you lost.

Thumbs up: The school term is almost over! :)

Thumbs down: Finals are next week :(

Thumbs up: Summer is almost here = beach, bike riding, shorts, summer blockbusters etc. :D

Thumbs down: I'm taking summer session at school :(

Thumbs up: Summer session is going to help me graduate sooner. :)

Thumbs down: Summer session costs about 13 billion dollars. :(

Thumbs up: I got into a lab I really needed this morning AND at a more favorable time than the one I was waitlisted for before. :)

Thumbs down: My favorite lab partner is not taking the same section with me. :(

Thumbs up: I got an extension on my homework since I was in New Orleans :)

Thumbs down: I'm procrastinating it right now. :(

Thumbs up: my daughter just graduated from BROWN UNIVERSITY

Thumbs down: The loans start coming due, soon!

Thumbs up: Many of her professors (including the head of her department--the theater department) said wonderful things about her, her intelligence, here skills, and her strength of character

Thumbs up: I also had a great time with my son (things have been rough lately)

Thumbs down: My home is now different from her home, and his home. It's to be expected, though, when it's supposed to be different from their mom's home.

Thumbs down: They could have gone better.
Thumbs up: All but one of them could have gone worse.
Thumbs up: I get to go home!
Thumbs down: This means leaving Oxford.
Thumbs up: Three month holiday! Woo!

Thumbs Down: Feel like I lost too much of the day.
Thumbs Up: Still...a nap is a darn fine thing.

Thumbs Up: Doing a decent amount of traveling in the next little bit (D.C. this weekend, maybe Seattle in 3 weeks, NYC in about 5).
Thumbs Up: I can, in a way, afford it.

Thumbs Down: I'm pretty tired and mostly want to spend my time after all this getting to know Chicago better. I feel like I've been neglecting my adventuring in favor of going to see other people...which isn't a bad thing in and of itself but it's getting to be a bit much. I've never liked being or wanted to be a person who was constantly busy.

Thumbs down: I have to go to work, so playing with it will come later.

Thumbs down: Now I have to learn to drive. A skill I have worked long and hard at not gaining for the past 28 years of my life....

Thumbs up: I should be getting all of my rental deposit back. Yay money!
Thumbs down: I spent forever cleaning the bathroom today and wasn't able to shower afterwards so I feel gross.
Thumbs up: The landlady said it was the nicest bathroom she had seen all day.
Thumbs up: Free wifi on the shuttle van. I can satiate my pinterest craves data free!
Thumbs up: It didn't rain on me mailing my package.
Thumbs down: UPS is ridiculously overpriced.
Thumbs up: I will be home tonight!

Thumbs Down: Milk went bad. No cereal. :(

Thumbs Up: Had a sausage and egg bowl with O.J. instead.

Thumbs Down: SO tired of having to think about food.

- First day of work is postponed because the background check didn't come back yet.
+ One more day of chilling out.
- One more day of anxiety about starting.

Thumbs Up: Boy is staying with me for a week and a half (I've never had that long with him all at once). :frolic:

Thumbs Down: I am scared s***** of taking him home tomorrow. Image

Thumbs Down: I'm also a little nervous the longer time together will not go well in general.Image

Thumbs up: Air show coming to town! Free fun for the whole family!

Thumbs down: Taking place at McConnell AFB, aka, right across the freaking street.

Thumbs up: Can watch flying demonstrations without leaving the apartment!

Thumbs down: Flying demonstrations happening during baby's naptime. His naptime that is increasingly precious and difficult to achieve. Gah.

Thumbs up: I have an interview for a co-op position next week!
Thumbs down: I don't know much about cloud computing, which would be very helpful for this interview..
Thumbs down: I'm struggling to care about my school work for the first time since I entered college.

Thumbs Up: I should be back on a regular schedule starting tomorrow, as far as my daily routines and such.
Thumbs Down: Because zero is going home tomorrow.

Thumbs Up: I should be able to catch up on my reading. And letter-writing. And blogging. And napping.
Thumbs Down: Much as I love/like those things, I'd rather have the company.

Thumbs Down: Atty was asleep in his stroller right when the fighter jet demonstration began. He did NOT APPROVE.

Thumbs Up: Got to stand in my yard and watch the demonstration, which was COOL (once Atty relaxed).

Thumbs Down: Atty didn't stay calm and the loud noises freaked him out again.

Thumbs Up: We didn't have to fight traffic, find parking, go through security, and use port-a-potties before finding out Atticus hates loud airplane noises.

Thumbs Sideways: Watching fighter jets in formation flying near the speed of sound right over your home is thrillingly and uncomfortably Apocalypse-y.

This is how I always feel about airshows. It's much more so, now, as I'm living in a city with a military base and I believe an RAF airfield nearby. It's really cool, but slightly unnerving at the same time to see the various military demonstrations.

Thumbs down: AT&T just informed me that I have exceeded my bandwidth limit and will be charged for an extra gig.

Thumbs up: I get to spend the next week watching as much porn YouTube as I can in an attempt to use what I'm being charged for.

Thumbs sideways: Honestly, why can't they pick a smaller, more reasonable unit to meter you by? I'd have no problem paying $32 for using 3.2 GB, but $40 for 4 when I didn't use all of it just because that's the digit they arbitrarily decided to round to is a bit ridiculous.

Thumbs Up: This weekend is Open House Chicago and Sing-Along Moulin Rouge.
Thumbs Down: I have no friends...so, while still fun, not as fun as sharing it with someone else.

Thumbs Up: Took today off from work. Needed it.
Thumbs Down: Should have gone in. Behind on a few things.

Thumbs Up: I get to see zero for a few hours tomorrow evening, assuming his plane is on time.
Thumbs Down: He's heading right back out of Chicago/US tomorrow night for a week during which time I don't get to talk to him.

Thumbs up: I got a larger raise than I was expecting from my semiannual review at work due to being one the best workers at the site. My supervisor also mentioned he intends to give me more in six months since he's not allowed to give as much as he would've liked to now.

Thumbs down: I still don't make quite enough to live comfortably on my own, still no luck finding a roommate and my current living conditions are starting to become unbearable.

Thumbs Up: Les Mis! It was gorgeous and although I was confused by some things that happened (it's not like the movies...no text on the screen letting you know it jumped a decade), I understood enough to be really moved by it. I'm very happy I went.

Thumbs Down: Asked an older woman to take a picture for/of me and zero and she took so long, we had to put the camera away because you weren't supposed to have any inside. I wasn't trying to steal industry secrets, geez. It ended up with me not getting any pictures of us. Kinda sucks. Feels like going to prom and not getting to take a picture at the prom, or at least I imagine it does.

Thumbs Up: Played with a kitten today. Sort of. Mostly I just looked at it trying to sleep and it let me look at it.

Thumbs Down: I miss my puppies.

Thumbs Up: Had a fun dinner downtown with zero.
Thumbs Down: Just before he left to go back home. :(

Thumbs Up: He finally said it was okay to share pictures if I have them of the both of us.
Thumbs...Whatever: I'm probably the only one excited by this.

Thumbs Down: My body is still very moderately in pain from the spills I took last night.

You know, i pictured him more... Canadian-looking.

Like, dressed up as a royal mounted policeman and with a Canadian flag...
