I think everyone could use one after today. Hopefully this will provide it. Apparently, this is what happens at 3 AM when a bunch of friends get together in the Poconos for the weekend.

My former almost sister-in-law's status update:
Dealing with the front desk is gonna be a mission!!! Plz grant me patients!!!! Happy Monday!!!
She works in a medical office. Um, be careful what you wish for? I believe the word you were looking for is patience.

I don't even feel bad anymore about laughing at her grammar and spelling because she purposefully says things like sku for school.

Today I was on the train and we passed a chain-link fence with two trees that had grown into the top of it. It looked like they were just leaning on the fence to shoot the breeze. It didn't make me laugh, but it really hit the spot for my daily dose of whimsy. :stoned:

The strange things that people including myself find hilarious.
I'm too bored to think of some witty remark to go here. Just imagine there is one and laugh at how funny it is.
this was someone's signiture

I get to go home next week. This is more amazing than you can imagine, unless you've been separated from your partner for a long and uncertain length of time. And now I'm talking with a friend about what I need to do before I leave, top of the list being sushi and pizza, because England fails pretty hard at those.

J:
hahahaha I like your priorities
EL:
it's not like you can skype with a pizza

And yes, this made me laugh aloud.

Do you know, she sees my laptop or Gran's ipad and comes over, pointing and exclaiming DADADADADAAAAA! Then she gives the screen kisses while we skype. I was so afraid she wouldn't know who he is, but nope. She totally knows.

Ok I would start by saying my first thing here makes me immature, but really I think I'm just one of the few who is comfortable enough to admit it, because everyone thinks it's funny. Old people flatulating will always, always be funny to me. Another thing that's funny to me relates to my work. I work in HR in the corporate headquarters for a major homebuilding company, I'm 25 and not a typical corporate type (slight hipster hairstyle, tattoos peeking out from my rolled up sleeves, pictures of space all over my cube, etc...) and I deal with a lot of the new hires when they come in. Every once in a while we get a group of 3 or 4 people hired who are in their 40's or 50's, oldschool office types who don't seem comfortable working with someone like me, and they have training for the first couple weeks. It always cracks me up to see someone leading them around the building, all of them looking scared and overwhelmed with their little notepads and nervously talking to eachother while the leader is a few steps ahead. It just looks like a bunch of little school kids on a fieldtrip, but trapped in the bodies of middle-aged people. I feel like all they're missing is a little rope they all haveto hold on to so they don't get lost.

Ahh...Lame office humor.

Also this video will always, always make me laugh, with the glee of a thousand unicorns.

For the past couple of weeks we thought our router had been turning itself off at night, just found out it was actually our cat using it as a heating pad.

I'm at the feed mill this morning and was just back by the big propane tank where son Jake and top hand parker were filling a forklift. So we are talking a bit and out of a stack of pallets 20 feet away this cute all white except for tail tip ermine cute as hell. I know they are around but ya don't see em often, so we watch him (or her didn't ask) bouncing around and then it heads right for us stops right in the middle of us stands up looks us all over and runs to the hay shed a way off and up into my old army truck. Never seen one that inquisitive or daring, can't get enough of watching critters do their thing.

Awww, wish I had seen that! I just saw my first real life otter down here in Florida. It was adorable! It was rolling around in the grass, scratching it's back on the ground, licking it's paws just like a cat. It was so cute!

We have a few otter around here I wish they were more approachable they are amazing to watch. I nearly got frostbitten watching a badger with its halfgrown pups years ago Just couldn't leave em.

zero won a 5lb Hershey's Milk Chocolate bar at a charity auction this weekend. 5lbs doesn't seem like a lot until you see it in giant chocolate bar form and for some reason, that form is hilarious.

My 5th grade teacher won one of those while I was in her class, and she shared it with us for like 2 weeks. Pretty much the coolest thing I'd ever seen as a 5th grader.

This book I'm reading right now is making me laugh pretty consistently (it's supposed to) but it's also just so damn awkward sometimes, it's either laugh or cringe.

It's called The Rosie Project, by Graeme Simsion, and the plot would have sounded completely absurd to me if I hadn't recently seen a video about something similar actually being done in the real world. The main character has Autistic tendencies (does it make me a jerk for finding the resulting interactions funnier because of this? Probably), so sometimes things he says/does are hilarious within the context he says/does them but sometimes they're just awkward as hell.

Yesterday when it was below zero and blowing outside the wife and I (and a squirmy little grandson) were watching a little netflix Flying Wild Alaska season 2 ep5 I think. Anyhow I suppose they have some stock footage that they fill in spots sometimes because when they were flying someone to Bethel Ak for something and the narator was going on about that particular airport all of the sudden it shows our two flying boxcars sitting on the ramp at palmer and by the old DC-3's and where they were parked the film was shot some years ago ( before I bought into them) but still exciting to see them on tv. Well I am excited anyway! Julie didn't quite see the importance but she did smile a little.
