Think Positive: What we love about the new place

Talk about anything under the sun or stars - but keep it civil. This is where we really get to know each other. Everyone is welcome, and invited!

And the new forum does spell it out, which is why it's great!

That and the fact that month, day, year really does make the most sense. "The eigth of October" wastes time. "October eighth" is a much more economical use of language.
There's another home somewhere,
There's another glimpse of sky...
There's another way to lean
into the wind, unafraid.
There's another life out there...

Not when you realise that the most important piece of information when people are asking for the date is the day of the month (since most people usually know what month it is already). Thus you're getting the necessary information out quicker and allowing everyone else to start reacting faster, precious split seconds faster.

EDIT: Plus "the eighth of October" sounds nicer than the unrefined abruptness of "October eighth". [/posh drawl]

I say tomato, you say tom... erm... Ok, so that doesn't work very well in text.

Why don't we just say "eight Octoberth"?

...besides the fact that "eight Februaryth" is a bit awkward to say...

Why don't we just say "frizzlefrazzle"?

this is strange, but in some ways, i'm really glad a lot of the old stuff was lost.

only because i KNOW i'd be rereading all my henry-related posts incessantly. and i don't think that would help any.
you snooze, you lose
well I have snozzed and lost
I'm pushing through
I'll disregard the cost
I hear the bells
so fascinating and
I'll slug it out
I'm sick of waiting
and I can
hear the bells are
ringing joyful and triumphant
