We have many problems in our society. I have a humble idea that may mitigate some of them; overcrowding, poverty and hunger to name a few.
We should eat the dead.
Corollary; we should no longer have burials. All portions of all deceased persons should be utilized. The usable organs, tissues, marrow and so forth should be donated, the edible meat should be provided to the hungry, and any unusable remainder should be burned as fuel.
This provides food for the hungry, medical help to many in desperate need, slows down rates of overcrowding, frees up all space that would otherwise be wasted for cemeteries/mausoleums (for more useful things like crops, business, etc) and provides jobs in a new industry.
Obviously, if we do this with humans it follows naturally that we also do so with any and all animals, like pets and so forth.
Thank you for reading my humble idea.

Too many drug residue problems...
End of life care involves a lot of opiods and other pain killers, which I don't want to be eating in meat. It also involves a lot of antibiotics. Then, if they've been treated for cancer there are residues of that, which can cause toxicity pretty easily.
Then there's the tissue pathology itself from the disease processes that caused the end of life.
In conclusion, no, for food safety reasons.

And OBVIOUSLY fat Irish babies would be the best grade meat, pre-marinated in alcohol.
