My mixer comes tomorrow!!! (Although I'm a little confused how it left Kentucky shortly after 4 and arrive in Colorado 31 minutes later. But whatever! [stupid inaccurate scans!])

The next step (besides baking bread) is to decide on a design to get cut in vinyl to personalize it. That is going to take more pondering than the mixer itself.

Actually forget I said that, because I have no brain and am time-zone impaired.

Hmmmm...actually, you may be right with the time zone thing. This one was shipped air and I've only ever had things that shipped groun. It would have taken MUCH longer to drive that distance, but the flight would be much shorter and factoring in timezone, it might just be correct! That may be the answer. You're a genius!!

Wanted: One of these, so, so badly. Should I buy it or just quit my bitching and make it myself?

More time in the day would be nice. I went from feeling like I had all the time in the world to feeling like I have next to none.

I used to want nothing more than to have the house to myself when I was younger. I shared a room with my sister 2 years younger than me, my mom stayed at home and taught us, and we had twin sisters 15 years younger than me, all living in a three bedroom trailer. There were like 3 times in my teenage life I can remember being home alone for more than 15 minutes and those were glorious times.

Now I live in a one bedroom apartment by myself and can enjoy silence whenever I damn well please and it makes Nick happy! :)

(Heads up when you get around to Pweb again, zero; I've told you this already, though you heard the better version of it)

I want to make and spend time in a metal, domed jungle gym that's been covered with sheets and made into a "tent." There would be twinkly lights and the ground would be covered in pillows and other soft, comfortable things. That would sure be something.

Ooo. That sounds awesome.

I want one of those giant parachute things we used to play with in elementary school gym. And enough friends to play with it with me.

This.

I can't find any local nurseries that carry it and I don't know for a fact that the closest HD to me does, either, so I might have it shipped to me but first, I need to find out if those would survive indoors if I kept them near a window.

From what I've read it is definitely not meant as an indoor plant, so it the survival would be iffy. It would have to be a very sunny window and a pretty big planter. If you can get it cheap enough, go ahead and try it. But I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't make it.

That's unfortunate. I have very large, very sunny windows on the south and west ends of my apartment, assuming the sun is actually out. But I don't want to kill a plant trying to make it live where it shouldn't.

:(

Wanted: Zelda-style ocarina. I'm trying to convince myself not to buy it. Or at least, if I do buy one, to get the much cheaper plastic or mini ones.

My brother has one of those. I don't think he paid that much for it because he got it years ago.

Mod Podge is just watered down white glue! Save some $$$ and buy some Elmer's glue. Just add water to thin it :)

This is REALLY awesome and doesn't seem that hard to make actually.
You could buy store bought cupcakes and ask your local supermarket bakery to print you a sheet of that edible paper and then it's just a matter of rolling out the fondant.

Also, wanted: A time machine. :toocool:
