murder?!
you snooze, you lose
well I have snozzed and lost
I'm pushing through
I'll disregard the cost
I hear the bells
so fascinating and
I'll slug it out
I'm sick of waiting
and I can
hear the bells are
ringing joyful and triumphant

Thanks, everyone!! It was a lovely day. The wedding was small, but we were surrounded by our nearest and dearest, and the ceremony was very special to us both.

Sadly, we are not joking about the murder. The hotel I was staying in with two of my bridesmaids the night before (because it would be CLOSER and FASTER than my apartment) had a murder happen in its parking lot about 4am. When we woke up and tried to check out at about 8:20, the police investigators were still there, and no one was allowed to leave, not even the cops responsible for taking statements. We cooled our heels for 3 hours, until they finished lifting prints from the main door and accounted for all the guests. The parking lot, where the murder was, sadly was still blocked off, so we hoofed it to the salon, who fairly threw us into the chairs, and then hoofed it to the church where we had a hilarious and comical dress-makeup-lunch flurry (20 minutes, tops), and the mass started a whole half hour late. Mad thank-yous and big tips were left at the salon, who shifted around their whole day's schedule because they didn't want me sad and un-styled on my wedding day.

When we went back two days later for the car, it was almost black with fingerprint dust, and there were still blood spatters in the laneway. I have no idea who the victim was, but apparently he was just some tourist in town for the big Caribbean festival. :( Once I heard that "serious incident" meant murder, it was a lot easier to sit and wait.

After the wedding itself, we had a lot of fun taking photos, though trying to get all of our families together was impossible. Like herding particularly recalcitrant cats, I tell you. After photos, the dinner was delicious, the reception a lot of fun, and there were a lot of smiles. At the end of the day, we were married, and that's what really counts, right?

:)

And now you have a story to tell. Glass half full, right? Although, it would have been preferable if the wedding had been Clue themed and THAT was what you meant by murder.
Yay, I'm a llama again!

Or if it had referred to a big, creepy, bunch of crows hanging around the wedding.

As much as I see myself in the mirror every morning, I still feel like I'm looking at someone else in those photos. The day really was quite spectacular, and the reception was a lot of fun.

The best part about the murder is that we had our hiccough in the day's plans, and it wasn't our fault!

This, a thousand times over.

Obviously because you love me as much as I love you. :D Or something like that.

Also, I have to second Jeebsy on the babies though I'll add, only when you're ready. (But just FYI, I'm ready for you to have them now. :P)

I'm usually not a fan of kissing pictures, but that one is quite awesome. Rei looks so dignified and gentlemanly. Love it.
I used to hate gravity because it would not let me fly. Now I realize it is gravity that lets me stand.

Alas we shall probably remain here for about a year or so while we gather funds to afford England. But then... oh then...
