I am on a study-vacation-workish trip and it is quite humid here. I better get used to it..I like my dry heat...

It's in the 80s with around 90% humidity. In the sun, I feel like I can't breathe. We are having daily thunderstorms that do nothing to break the humidity and heat. This weather is doing bad things for my headaches. It's ironic that I'm looking forward to going to California for cooler weather.

A beautiful day today! However, the pressure has been climbing steadily and I know it has to decrease soon. I am trepidatious.

Gross, gross weather.

Syphon, I wasn't sure if you'd believe me so I screen-captured this:

See? AZ can have Feels Like that are higher than the actual temperature.

Also, I'd like the record to state that I will take more 115F that feels like 115F than so much humidity. I don't know how you people can stand humidity. Dry heat, for the win.
So raise your glass if you are wrong in all the right ways, all my underdogs.

I both love and hate the "feels like" on weather sites nowdays. Maybe it shouldn't be a number. It should be feels like: your fingers are going to fall off, or feels like: you want to drown yourself in icy water.

hehehe, i would appreciate that scale.

it's been a week straight of hot and humid weather here. i can't stand it. i love wisconsin weather, but i find it hard to catch my breath when it's humid. like there is more water than oxygen. normally it's not a problem because i'm in air conditioning. and even when i'm outside in it, i have the breeze which helps. but man. inside at work. oh man. no A/C and we usually have the doors open and fans going, but it doesn't do a whole lot of good. there are about 10 welders or something like that and with all that hot metal it's even hotter in there.

i can't wait for winter.

We're in a bona fide heat wave here too. Today's high was 38C (100F). Or about 47C (117F) on the humidex.

It's crazy to think that in 6 months we'll be bundled up and worrying about frost bite from mere minutes of exposure.

Dear England,

This is not summer. This is not even close. Go borrow 10C of heat from Ontario. We'll all be happier.

Dear England,

About this humidity. You see, when a sensible country spend a few days sunny, warm, and humid, and then has a couple of huge downpours, usually it takes some of the humidity away. At least temporarily.

If you can't get your act together, I am going to come up with a whole new series of weather jokes about you. You're giving me so much ammo beyond "yep, it sure rains a lot".

From my favorite weather place. And by favorite, I mean the only one that sometimes gets laughs out of me.
114°?!

ITS f******...ARE YOU OKAY?

uncontrollable swamp-ass
From the less amusing weather.com:
Sunny Dangerous heat index. Outdoor exposure should be limited. Clear Sunny
114°F
Feels Like: 110°

Past 24-hr:
Precip: 0 in
Snow: 0 in
Chance of Rain: 0%
Wind: From W at 9mph

Through 11pm: Clear with temperatures falling into the mid to upper 90s. Winds W at 5 to 10 mph. Generally clear. Warm. Low 87F.

Humidity: 12%

Bit toasty outside. I've been banned (by the parental units) from riding my bike this week, since it's not cooling down enough at night to allow me to properly recuperate from after-work rides home.

I know, on an intellectual level, this is probably wise given my recent episodes with the dizzies but I tend to see making it home as a physical challenge worth attempting, so it's a bit of a bummer.

I guess my parents like me or something. Meanies. It's not that hot out.

So... I live in a land where it doesn't go higher then about 23C (that's low 70's, for those used to F).

This week, it's been barely above 10C.

I'm not sure how I feel about it. I'm actually not missing the heat all that much. I don't love that feeling of so-hot-I'm-going-to-die.
The fog is cool sometimes, but not for days on end.

Basically, talk to me in a few years when I still haven't had a "real" summer. Then I might be annoyed. But for now, I think I'm kinda liking the cool weather.

I would love weather than never goes above 70s(F). When it does get hotter than that here, I live in AC. Which is pretty much May through September.

Today it was down to roughly 90, so I had the windows and doors open today!! Which is to say, the weather has been fabulous and my stuffy old apartment has thanked me very much. I am so glad we got a break form the heat.

Steam bath, anyone? ;)

There is just something not right about needing the heat at night and needing the air conditioning later that same day. Not that I actually turned on the air conditioning but I could have. It's up to 80 in my house right now.

We went from 80 degree weather on Monday to a snow storm that started Tuesday night, dropped a foot of snow over the next 24 hours and left 20,000 people in the state without power. My parents' power went out at 10pm on Tuesday and they just got it back a couple of hours ago.

I love the weather in this state.

Wow. That's a lot more snow than we are getting. We'll probably only get an inch or two. I'm sorry your parents were without power for so long!

Those are some amazing photos, Steph. Wow.

It snowed a little bit here today, but it was mostly rain/snow that melts as it hits the ground, so that doesn't really count in my mind. I'm hoping it's not too terrible for Halloween. None of our costumes are that waterproof. Umbrellas will work, but only if it's not windy.

We always had to plan our costumes to be able to work with a heavy winter coat since it's usually snowy on Halloween here.

I hope you guys have a dry Halloween!
