It's in the 70's all week this week. We're outside as much as possible! Of course, that means that I'm sunburned. (Small price to pay, I think.)

60s and 70s for the next 10 days, with only two or so of those days expecting non-sunny weather to accompany those temperatures. I'm pissed I won't get to enjoy that weather this weekend, as I'll be working and missing out on all the St Patrick's day festivities, but I can do something fun tomorrow; it's supposed to get up to 77F.

Record breaking warm here too, in the 70s today. Pheeny enjoyed going outside and for a car ride. She has spring fever and does NOT want to stay in her cage. :)

I'm kicking off my spring break with a camping trip this weekend.
I had visions of tanning in sunshine.

There's a 10-30% chance of rain, which although it might rain, it means 50-65ish day weather :( ...too cold for tanning.

There is snow. On April frickin' 30th. Ginny is dancing around saying "It's winter-spring!" and I am grumbling and hiding in bed.

The heat index is at 107F. In Fargo.

The heat here is deceiving. It's not a constant, upfront, blast you upside your head heat that you get in AZ. It's a gradual, "Oh, it's about 85F *5 minutes later* Um, has it always been a million degrees out?"

I sweat so much more here.

Friday we hit 109f, breaking Columbia, SC's all time high since records began being kept 125 years ago by 3 degrees. In the early 50s and mid 90s it hit 107.

Saturday it was just as hot and I was helping friends pack and move. I agreed to help them get their vehicles down to Charleston, too, which was a mistake since I hadn't realized that my friend's old Mercedes doesn't have a good AC and that everyone in South Carolina would be going to the beach for the holiday weekend. Me and the cat I had in the car with me were not happy on the way down there. :D I got to ride back to Columbia in the better air conditioned Toyota with my friend Lindsay, though.

When I got back to my apartment, upon entering I thought I'd forgotten to turn the AC up before I left in the morning because it felt so cool in there. Nope, it was 85f, just that it was so hot outside the difference felt downright cool. :D

This was all following the previous Tuesday's 75f afternoon weather. That's December weather, not June weather.

A few hours of rain last night and we're coming up on 2.5 hours of rain this evening.

Thanks for those of you who sent rain love to our state. It's amazing and wonderful to get moisture and I love that my house is 68 degrees inside right now!!

Thunderstorm!

And I'm not even caught outside in this one. The lightning is pretty intense, as is the thunder and rain. Love it. I'm just hoping the electricity stays on throughout the night.

Thunder, lightning, and clouds so dark I can't actually tell it's morning. That means I don't have to go to work, right?

Upon reflection, living in the Midwest without rain books, a rain jacket, or an umbrella was probably a stupid move.

I thought it looked stormy out. Guess where my (broken from the last big storm to come through) umbrella is?

At work! At least I have the raincoat my brother bought me.

Aww Minnesota. You're giving me a thunderstorm my last night here. That's so sweet of you. Just please don't be raining when I have to haul a package to the post office tomorrow.

I got hot here! The cows are all napping in the woods trying to stay cool and everytime I look in the pasture I freak out thinking they're out! Even at 10 am it's hot I came in to hide out for a bit and cool down.

I was SO GLAD I was mostly pregnant in fall/winter. I don't know HOW my mom managed nine months pregnant in August in Texas.

So, umm. We're probably getting hit with a hurricane next week. I'm not too worried for myself - we didn't even lose power (like over half the city) with hurricane Igor 2 years ago. But I am worried about the province as a whole. Hurricane Igor did a ton of damage and it would be really bad if those areas got hit again.

It's 68* out right now and really muggy, bleh... It's very strangly warm for this late in September. The crazy thing is it's supposed to reach 86* today!

It's chilly tonight! I just went down the road to check cows and had to coat up! What a change! By the way we have a new little red bull calf, I like just missed the action! If he has any brains yet he would be finding a good hideyhole before sun up when I come for his cute little bull nuts.
