otoh, another temptation is probably why I staved off the ice cream.

the cookies got to me. sneaky little devils, ganging up on a guy and jumping him. :shakes head: I ate six or so. :/

There, see, that sounds like a win.

[Though it occurs to me, if I cut out all the junk I eat, without worrying about exercising, I'd probably drop some significant weight in a short amount of time.

But it won't happen; as I've said before, some people have a sweet tooth on occasion whereas mine seems to be permanent.]

I was thinking about doing this. For lunch, eat what I want but be balanced about it and then for the rest of the day eat only vegetable broth and salad with fat free dressing any other time I'm hungry. So far, it hasn't worked. Temptation is a powerful thing when your stomach growls. Fortunately, we've run out of sweets but we've also run out of fat free dressing. :(

I just eat whatever I want - it's worked so far, so why not?

I just have this plan; instead of worrying about what I eat and weight gain and all that garbage, I'm just going to encourage everyone I know to eat what they want, too. That way, if I start getting chunkier, they do as well. No crankiness from not getting my sweets, no being the only funky monkey from Chunky Town*.

the ongoing battle against the bottomless icecream chest of goodies known as the communal work freezer is so far going well tonight. :)

I'm perfectly happy with a treat every now and then, it's when there's no limit and an infinite supply and it costs you nothing that you have to seriously address whether or not it's a treat or a part of your daily diet.

I love baking. This is a very bad thing for me, sometimes, as I live alone and shouldn't eat 2 dozen cupcakes or 3 dozen cookies or a whole cake all by myself.

Usually, I manage to foist most of it off on my friends. They're starting to claim I'm trying to make them fat... :)

It's so colourful... It reminds me of a toy typewriter I had as a child. I had completely forgotten about it until now.

I want to learn Avid. I'm a final cut pro user, myself - Avid's too expensive for personal use. I only have very limited experience in it.

Temptation sucks. I had chocolate covered caramel corn the second I got home from school today  :P

Late night snacking.

I have somehow resisted all ice cream for the entire week
the only sweets I had were a couple dove squares last night
I even sat down a granola bar tonight

Yay me!

You know you can't resist a temptation that comes along with a hole!

Edit: i just reread this and it sounds a lot more "wrong" than i intended it to... :?

my personal recipe for rapid weight gain:
1 pint carton of B&J's Neapolitan Dynamite ice cream
1 Pomegranate

eat approximately the top 3rd of the ice cream, stir crack open the pomegranate and stir it in. eat the rest of the carton. repeat daily

the last step is optional, but highly recommended if you want to achieve rapid weight gain. besides, its loaded with fruit, which means it must be healthy, right? right???

Usually when I go to parties with dinner or buffets or some function with catering where there is alot of very tasty food available or floating around I gorge myself on everything. eat too much of this and then of that. and so on.

tonight I did not. It actually felt surprisingly mature and satisfying to eat only one or two of the Hors d'oeuvres and then a relatively small amount of only a few of the foods available. I didn't feel compelled to sample everything for once and thus didn't have too. This is amazing triumph over temptation for me. on top of the week without imbibing any candy or icecream at work it's pretty f****** impressive to myself. :D

pretty much successful over the holidays. I sampled desserts but did not eat the normal copious and unhealthy quantities I would usually binge on. I also avoided the many candy dishes around (okay I did have one m&m but I actually stopped at one, which is amazing) so my will power is starting to impress me.

I did have one piece of stocking candy today. I was going to put it with the other pile of stuff (probably wind up in mom's candy dishes scattered about the house) but then noticed it was a mini 3 musketeers mint which I'd never tried. so I had to eat it, to you know try it. and it's much better than a regular 3 musketeers which I don't like for the most part.

I'm with jotabe. I fail. My main food group seems to be chocolate, with a side of cake and cookies.
I swear, after being in Missouri visiting family, once school starts up again, I WILL workout. And I WILL begin to eat healthier. :D
