And I thought this thread was about Insomniac Games, one of my favorite game developers (known for such games as the first 3 Spyro's, the Ratchet and Clank series, and recently also Resistance and Resistance 2)...Lol.
Oh, to contribute to this thread: not taking afternoon naps helps a lot. Oh, and my abstention from coffee probably has something to do with sleeping well at night, too.

Who controls the British crown? Who keeps the metric system down?
We do! We do!
Who leaves Atlantis off the maps? Who keeps the Martians under wraps?
We do! We do!
Who holds back the electric car? Who makes Steve Gutenberg a star?
We do! We do!
Who robs cavefish of their sight? Who rigs every Oscar night?
We do, we do!

It's 4:45am and I'm still awake. This hasn't happened for the longest time.

And I even took a stop-thinking pill at 11pm but obviously that didn't work. It was an emotional day...

Night number three of not being able to sleep. Good thing I'm seeing the therapist tomorrow. I just hope it helps to settle my mind. I miss the days of the sleep-all-the-time variety of depression. Much better than the can't-stop-the-racing-thoughts type. Blargh.

*hugs Nomi* I hope that's taken care of for you.
But when I do fall into the big sleep for the night, it's for 10-13 hours typically and if I don't keep moving, I will drift in and out of sleep throughout the day.
I hate both aspects. When I'm at least busy, with real things to do, I can manage on 5 hours a night and no naps.
Anyway, I won't post in here when I have sleep problems because they just don't go away.
I think I have both. When trying to fall asleep, it's the second type. If I try to sleep too early, it's especially bad and even if I manage to fall asleep, I don't stay asleep.sleep-all-the-time variety of depression

Ignore this.Anyway, I won't post in here when I have sleep problems because they just don't go away.
It's 9:40something AM and I have not managed to fall asleep yet. It doesn't help that I woke up yesterday at 5PM...but come on, this is ridiculous.
Before I realized I'd be up at this point, I asked my mom to wake me up when she gets off work (she has a half-day thanks to all the traveling she did earlier in the week), which will undoubtedly result in me being cranky later in the day. And I can't really afford that, as I sort of promised a friend I'd go watch a movie tonight and will need all the patience I can get.

I am probably one of the worst morning people ever. I don't do mornings, at all.

It's 6:15. Time to get ready for my first day back to work after the holidays. The only problem is I don't think I actually slept for more than 15 minutes last night. I really screwed up my sleep pattern over the break. I never used to have this problem when I was younger. My body would just sleep when I told it to. Am I getting old?
I hope I make it through the day...

I think I'm getting old too. a year ago I had little to no trouble transitioning from graveyard schedule to regular and back again whenever I made trips back home. Since thanksgiving I've found it one hell of a lot harder. It's 6:15. Time to get ready for my first day back to work after the holidays. Well, my body may not shift between schedules like it used to, but on the bright side, at least it seems I can still function remarkably well on little to no sleep.

O the joys of not being able to sleep due to a hacking cough. Isn't life wonderful? And of course, since I'm not sleeping, my healing process is slowing. Wahoo!
It's been a while since I've had to actually function on this little sleep (Christmas break allows for far too much sleeping and laziness). School will be interesting. Ah well, at least my first hour is completely useless so I can take a nap if I need to.
ETA: Unfortunately, I did not inherit my father's ability to freakishly energetic no matter how little sleep he gets. I tend to like at least 6 hours. I know, I'm a pathetic teenager =]

I used to hate gravity because it would not let me fly. Now I realize it is gravity that lets me stand.

Ok, so it's not late, but I need to be sleeping and I can't!! I'm leaving for DC tomorrow at 5:30 am. I hate pre-trip anxiety. I also hate sore muscles with no husband to rub them. Sleep, darn you!!! Sleep!!!!
