5'10" or 5'11", depending on when you measure (or so it seems), but I slouch so much that people often mistake me for "scrawny" instead of "gangly."

I'm 5'10" I think. I feel notably shorter than most people I know and grew up with.

Isn't it weird how it's okay to ask about height but not weight? I guess it's because we have less control over our height.

ETA: If I'm not mistaken, 5'9" is average for an adult North American male. I just thought I'd mention that since it seems every guy here is taller than me.

I think you mean, "bunch of agendas".

6'-something. I really thought the average height for males was 6' for a long time. It's really as low as 5'9", though? Pshhh.

I tend to think of the median height for guys being around 6' or a bit taller, where most guys were 6' or 6'1" or 2". I think almost every guy I know offline is 6'+.

The book Blink has a lot of very interesting info on average height and also the prejudice towards taller men, especially in business (they earn more money than shorter men).

But yes, the average height for men is around 5'9" to 5'10" in the US and it varies by country. For women it is around 5'4".

Which I tell everyone who tells me that I'm short! I'm 5'4" (and 1/2!).

5'10" give or take.

I'm about 5'8" or 5'9". Taller than average, on the books, but I never feel particularly tall.

I'm 5'4" but people always seem to think I'm taller when they meet me. I think it's cause I have long legs and a short torso.

As I said, big bunch of giraffes (no zero, not agendas or ajendas).

I'm 5'1 3/4" (Yes, I cling to those 3/4", thank you very much). But there was this AF recruiter I really liked; he measured me at 5'2".

Screw you all. 6' is still considered tall. 5'9" is average for a man, and 5'5" is average for a woman. I will not be made to feel short just because Pweb is home to a bunch of freaks, and even some of the women are my height or taller.
