The screen's not even on that page anyway. It's 16" at 1366x768

I realized that. I was lazy to go on Toshiba's page to look myself. You'd think for that price and screen size the resolution would be a bit higher, but not many manufacturers offer higher resolution even as an option anyway.

I pretty well maxed out the customizations on that thing, the base price was around $850.

If they'd let you customize a Qosmio, I'd probably have gotten one of those. The only significant differences between my Satellite and the mid-range Q8102X Qosmio are the Qosmio has a larger screen (18.4" at 1680x945) and a better video card with more video ram, but my Satellite has more regular ram and costs almost $400 less. Also, I can actually pronounce "Satellite" while "Qosmio" is a bit of a tongue twister assuming it even sounds the way I think it does.

I agree, which is why I'm glad I was able to build a 16" one with similar stats. Which is the perfect size for a laptop to be, in my opinion. Large enough for a full-size keyboard with a number pad, but not so large that you start to wonder why they didn't just go ahead and slap a battery and a screen on a desktop tower.

I was too lazy to put in enough time to figure out one of my Logic Homework problems... so I put...

"~P v Q |- P -> Q
1. ~P v Q (A)
2. ???
3. Profit!
"

I don't know what you mean by it being a definition, but that's Propositional Calculus Logic.

I have to use a set of logical rules to get from ~P v Q to P -> Q

An example of doing a problem like this would be:
Q |- P -> Q (which translates into "Q, thus If P then Q"
1. Q...............(A)
2. |P...............H->I
3. ||~Q...........H~I
4. ||Q&~Q.......1,3&I
5. |~~Q...........3-4~I
6. | Q...............5~E
7. P->Q............2-7->I

A meaning Assumption/Premise
H meaning Hypothetically
~ meaning Negation
~E Negation Elimination [Rule]
->I If Then Introduction [Rule]
&I And Introduction [Rule]

@_@ It's really complicated, unless you use the system that has 20 rules for every common situation (which we aren't using)

I have to wonder if anyone on the road ever thinks I have a case of penis envy. Without fail, whenever I come to a stop, my right hand goes for the handlebar and my left, for the tip of my bike seat. It's not even just resting there, it's hanging on to the thing as if it will fall off if I don't.

I have no idea. I'm naturally anxious and it's just something to hold onto, I guess. I used to grab onto my necklace or play with my ring when I had those on.

That reminds me of how I hold on to the gear shifter on my husband's automatic car (even though there is no need) because I'm so used to driving my standard car and having my hand there.

I do all of those things (except the bike stuff, I haven't ridden a bike in years).

I always play with my necklace and twirl my ring around my finger and when I drive I always rest my hand on the shifter in my current car because I learned how to drive in a manual.

Sometimes I still go for the clutch...

Randomness...

So, when you have Google Chrome, you can set it up to sync with different computers, so your browser is the same no matter what computer you're on.

So, Paul and I do this with his netbook at school and my laptop at home. We just figured out that it syncs practically in real time, so we can change the names of the things on the bookmark bar to be "Hey there", etc and leave easter egg style notes for each other.

Yeah, I mean it in the way that ~PvQ is the definition of P->Q; they're just two different ways of writing the same thing. I thought that was one of the first things taught in logic classes, so it just seems like one step. (Like how ~(PvQ) is the same as (~P)^(~Q))

Maybe we haven't got to it in my class, but what's (~P)^(~Q))?
We haven't used a ^ sign for anything...

Also, I don't understand how the ~PvQ and P->Q would be two different ways of writing the same thing....~PvQ is the premise to the conclusion P->Q
If we were to convert it into sentences, it would be like "Not P or Q, thus if P than Q.

We use the & sign for "and".

However, I still don't see how ~P v Q would be the definition of P -> Q...

We use the & sign for "and".
It's usually ^ (or I think technically it's supposed be ∧) when dealing with logic. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Logical_conjunction
However, I still don't see how ~P v Q would be the definition of P -> Q...

Or possibly http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?tit ... d=77109738 is a better thing to look at. I'm not sure; the series of pages on it seem to be a bit of a mess.
