Yes, to balance eggs! Brian's going to be on CCTV's Guinness World Records show.

I am a bit nervous about China. I'm really glad we went to Hong Kong first. It's making me less nervous. But this is my first time in a communist country. I don't want to offend anyone!

So excited for you guys!

Completely random: There is a small section of hair, front left, high up but not quite bang-height, that thinks it is supposed to be curly. Like, really curly. It's growing out -- don't know why it was so short to start with -- and it is growing in a (loose-ish) spiral. I do not get it. My hair is stick straight. It always has been. Why has this lock gone rogue?

My pop passed early this morning in his sleep after a brutal 2 month fight with a surpercharged cancer. It's been hard to watch, I was not ready and we werent done yet. Now i am just angry

My condolences, Buckshot.

I am so, so tired of hearing of people losing loved ones to cancer. :(

I am, quite stupidly, avoiding my last few (BIG) assignments for the semester. Because my brain panics a little every time I start to think about working on them.

Yeah. Even knowing slow and silent is how Pweb rolls these days, it would be nice to have a few more people stop by more often.

It's nice, at least, that you're part of the guard. :)

I try to keep my work inbox to no more than 15 items (read or unread) because more than that means I have more than 15 outstanding projects/issues/whatever to deal with. I'm not sure why I chose 15 as the magic number but it's been at least a month since I was able to consistently keep this number at or below 15 and even then it was with a considerable amount of effort. Some days it feels as though all I'm doing is reading and responding to emails.

I say this on a day off where I'm staring at an inbox of 34 items, 17 of which are unread. I kind of want to just go through them but if I do, I'll just be inviting more in sooner.

So my partner and super good bud Tim just got married , here on the farm. I just sneeked away to my house to hide before dinner and I'm not going back. I will face the fallout tomorrow like a man. I love Tim and would do anything for him and will accept his new wife like I should for him. Tim's first wife died some 4 and a half years or so back and it took her a good fifteen years to die from a scarry kind of RA. Tim got into the church thing from his wife and has kept up with it, which works for him although I often smell a few stinkers in that bunch. So he found this "wife" on some kind of churchy mingle web site against my well meant advice. Liz my partners new wife just came here from Australia and they had to get married at the courthouse a few months ago so she could be a full fledged American so she can seek treatment for her BREAST CANCER!! Obviously I'm thinking the worst "normal for me" so now Tim has to deal with another dying woman instead of looking forward to retiring in a few years and living! I should go back over there and have a couple of beers and shake some hands but I'm uncomfortable with the whole thing, better find my boots again! :bash:

I keep getting myself...not into trouble, but into obnoxious positions, when I post something to Facebook that really should be a Pweb post. Sure, people won't respond here but it's still safer and less likely to make me feel worse than the alternative. I'm most likely hypersensitive (big shock) but I swear, when I just want to vent and feel heard, some people tell me things I already know like they invented that knowledge and it just irks.

I am eating a cannoli for the first time ever, and I am mighty disappointed, I must say. Not what I really thought it would be.

I think I was expecting something more cream puff like? Sweet, but not as sweet as I expected, and the texture of the filling was kind of grainy and off-putting. I mean, it wasn't terrible, I ate it, but just not what I thought.

Julie and I spent yesterday up at the ranch house near Chewelah and went hucklberry picking up higher where we have had great picking the last few weeks. I always carry an old sidearm for plinking or whatever as we have plenty of critters about n wolves now n and about every damn thing else, sometimes I shoot a little after or during lunch if it feels right. We often see black bears around "there have been lots more the last 10 years or so"but they are no bother. I brought along my old model 1886 winchester along as I planned on a short trip and wanted to keep in shape for hunting season, and just cuz. As usual Julie and I spread out 25 yards or so to find the best berry picking, Julie stayed lower and I worked my way up to the flat topped bench or ridge. As I was listening to my heart banging away in my chest from the hike up trail I heard a few low "huffs" from over the north side of the bench. I quickly stood on a big low stump so as to put one eye on my lady and the other on or around the puff of dust swirriling up from round the feet of a nervous critter that was picking it's own share. Right then that old rifle felt a lot lighter and less of a hinderance. We made our way home and while Julie was packing the sweet yummy berries away in the deep freeze I conned my buds Tommy N Walt to ride up there before dark and we rode our ATV's up the trail "making plenty of noise". There is loads of fresh awfull big bear s*** and "sign" all around! I only saw feet,, leg and solid body through the brush that morning . Now we are all shure as can be, that is a big grizzly sow with a cub up there north of tower road! I've been around some big grizzly(and been scared to death) in the past and feel confident of what I saw. There have been problem grizz relocated to our area but this is the first in my area an quite some time. I dont get around so fast or well as I did, It's scarry to think how close we were to a sow with a cub.

Most years I would be in BC.or AK hunting moose now but I do enjoy some of the stuff I normally miss. Today all my girls and friends are here making salsa. I just came downstairs to get some peace, last count was 78 pint jars and its good, my lips are burning. Im not shure how many quart jars they plan on making. We have a couple big gardens and the tomatoes are the best I ever had and theres so many and all the different peppers ,I think Sarah said we have 20 different peppers this year. I tell ya this s*** is good! and hot! I know I have never missed a moose season in Canada since Vicki was born pobably well over 30 years.

There is a grumman TBM-3 warbird for sale on ebay now that I'm real excited about. I'm putting a crew together to go back down to TX to give it a goin over. Didn't think I would ever do something like this, she's the real thing too! wings power fold up for carrier use and all. I really fit the bird too, the single cockpit is big n roomy and the bombay has been sealed up and has neat passenger seats installed. I must be mad
