And as we pass through the generations my friend,
Ack! I had a John McCain flashback just now.

(He is, by the way, so much cooler as a person when he's not running for POTUS.)

That is the most pimped-out highchair I have ever seen. Possibly to the point of complete ridiculousness.

hear the bells are

It's very..space-agey looking to me. Also, the seat itself looks like it should glow in the dark.

My knowledge is entirely delegated to garage sales and Good Will, and I'm proud of it. I have never stepped into a Babies 'R' Us, and with three nieces and nephews I say that's pretty good.

At night, my cat gets locked in our office (where her litter box is) so that we can open our bedroom door. She isn't allowed in the bedroom and all day long, the bedroom is kept closed and she has the run of the house.

Well, in the last week she has decided that she wants to wake up earlier than us and has figured out that if she hits the cat door repeatedly, she can dislodge the lock. So, today we got and installed a sturdier one. I hope it works because I'm sick of getting woken up at 5am!

I'm eating Chickadees. They're a knock-off of Goldfish snack crackers. They're goood.

Now I'm going to go and find out about NetFlix.

Don't mind me, just going against the grain. Save for the fact that I woke up with a soar throat and a cough, as well as a sinus headache that developed later on in the day, I had... quite a nice day given that a certain someone who hasn't spoken with me in quite a while decided that they wished to speak with me again.

ETA: My day sounded less bad in my head. Mostly because the crap start was offset by the better end. And really, in the whole scheme of things, having a soar throat/cough/headache really isn't that bad of a day for me.

Also, John Adams -- the HBO Miniseries -- is quite good.

I've noticed while on the pain pills i'm taking, just before I fall asleep I feel like something is poking me either in the head or in the arm. I've also noticed that if I don't fall asleep within the first hour of taking them, i'm wide awake, just woozy.

I'm also craving everything I can't really have because of having my wisdom teeth out. I want a bacon sandwich really bad.

Xbox live completely revamped their dashboard interface yesterday. I'm not sure if I like it because it is very similar to the Wii interface. Including the dumb cartoonish avatars. However they added Netflix to xbox live so you can just download the movies to your xbox and watch. Pretty good marketing idea.

Yesterday was a bad day. All of my friends were in a very blah mood and none of us wanted to be at school.

Apparently my bad day was moved to today. No soar throat, but my head feels like it is going to pop and my nose is shifting between stuffy and drippy. I really don't care, but it hasn't been a GOOD day.

Some moments from my babysitting adventure today.

My nephews and I were watching Wall-E and the younger one tells me "Wall-E's boobs are broken!" Eh? Bras are boobs now.

On one of many trips to the 'potty,' the younger one asked for help to wash his hands right after he was done. Mind you, his pants and underwear were still on the floor but he had to have clean hands...so, I sit him down on the counter so he can reach and he first touches himself (I told him it was okay to do, just in private) and then, before I could stop him, grabs my toothbrush. Noooo!

I called the older one 'baby' at some point (as a term of endearment, not in a mean spirited or mocking way) and he very seriously turns to me, sighs, and says, "No, Auntie. I'm not a baby. I'm just growing up! I'm a big kid."

And the best part? Before they left, they both gave me a great big hug. But no new toothbrush. Ugh.

That toothbrush, sitting on a sink with a toilet in the room, is exposed to things much worse than that.

Wil...*whack* shh. I typically keep it in a toothbrush case, which is what made this particularly unpleasant. I had just woken up a few minutes before they arrived (hell, I was only awake then because I was called to babysit) and was in too much of a hurry to put it back in the case.

Oh God, what a nerdy thing to do! Toothbrush case... ha. Cowboy up, woman! Everyone should both be aware and accept the fact that there is microscopic poo particles on their toothbrush! How are you supposed to do this by being a nerd and putting it in a case?!

Just in case any of you are interested, my brother (the one who buys whole TV series on DVD that he's never watched) just informed me that Amazon's Gold Box deal today is the entire Buffy series for $69.99:

If only I didn't already own them all.

Though, with the exchange rate back down to $0.77, it sucks to buy American anyway.

A computer oddity: when using Microsoft Word in my native language, when you write Hemingway with 1 "v" (in my language, v=w) it shows a typing mistake, but when written with 2 "v" s, it doesn't show the error. That's weird.
