Yeah, it doesn't have to be heated. But I'm using superlatives to make my point just that the people on this forum get to know you through your posts. And posting one sentence posts doesn't really give them a chance to really know who you are.

Trust me, I know about shyness.
So.. does that include my "[enter] after every line" posts?

Oh come on, did it again...

So... where are all the posters right now? For sure they are here now... because I posted at least 10 times here in the last hour probably... but where are they usually? :?

Read the first post in that thread.

Read the first post in any thread you post in, it usually/always explains the thread.

Oh and a very important thing to remember about pweb - it's 10 years old. Therefore there are people here who have been friends for everywhere from 2-10 years. Think about that when you're trying to break in. It's not easy, but it's worth it.

post count doesn't matter
I know I'm quoting from the middle of some silliness... but this notion is so omnipresent and oft-stated that it's beginning to get tiresome. Have you considered the idea of disabling/hiding the count?

Games Room Wannabe, you display practically every known hallmark of an alt. I'm not convinced. Based on your posts in this thread and Bob, you are either Sonikku or PL14, and since Sonniku's title was "Games Room Addict" and he hasn't posted since you've popped up, that's my guess.

Oh, and well over a thousand of the zero-post people registered were spam users. We had a plague of them sometime in early 2007 and I spent WAY too much time clearing out their spam links and posts and blocking their IPs and wasn't about to waste my time deleting the users, too.

On a different, more random note:

I apparently have developed this habit of coming up with new ways to entertain myself while showering. Teehee, yes, while showering, but seriously, it's boring. And since my voice has been taken by laryngitis for the past week I've had to do more than just sing. This morning I explained to an invisible person how the drop system in Team Fortress 2 works, why it is both important and why it is not, and how lucky I was to recently get a hat drop.

I only just now realized how completely and utterly ridiculous doing something like that is.

This morning I explained to an invisible person [stuff]
Invisible people scare me more than imaginary people.

I don't explain things to anyone but I have been known to act out stories from my head, where that basically means I'll interact/speak with the wall-as-person-in-head. When I can't sleep and I want to be sleeping, I'll do that same thing but insert pillow where wall used to be. I've been doing this for at least 18 years and even felt relieved when Max in Hocus Pocus did something similar (when his little sister was hiding in his closet).

Hmmm, I have no actual opinion about this.

However, I specifically remember comparing the two(Sonniku and Game room guy) yesterday.
Sonniku, no offense if you read this, but after chatting with you for the first time in the chat room the other day, you came off a little showoffish/braggish.
"I think computer science will always go over my head"
"Computer science went over my head when I was in third grade..."
The one that I remember the most.

I wondered if you couldn't just see how that would sound from another person's point of view or what.

Not saying that you are cocky and braggish, just that you came off that way.

Either way, I noted something along the lines of "wow two arrogant, showoffs in two days" yesterday, after I read one of the new guys post.

Though, Sonniku seemed pretty beast at math, so I don't know if he'd make that mistake Game Room Wannabe made after trying to solve the problem Neodragon's way... then again...every

hmm m+n=3
m=n+3
Here's your first mistake.

If m+n=3 then
m=(-n)+3
or
m=3-n
Everyone makes silly mistakes once in a while, right?

I don't intend to go off selfish, I just can't find the right words to say things. Like I've said to Pl14, and that I'll say to you now, I'm not a neurotypical person, I have Asperger's syndrome. And I have a hard time with theory of mind because of that. Not trying to make excuses, just trying to help you understand me.

And by the way, I've made mistakes before, which proves everyone makes silly mistakes

x^2+x=x^3

Which obviously isn't true for all cases, but when I wrote it down, I misinterpreted the + as a *.

And GRW is my brother, by the way.

I didn't say you came off selfish...

Also, now I understand. Thanks.

Though,
"And by the way, I've made mistakes before, which proves everyone makes silly mistakes"
Came off kinda of cocky.
(As in, "see, even someone as good as me makes silly mistakes. Thus, everyone must makes silly mistakes occasionally." [That is logically the only way that can be seen as a proof])

However, now that you've warned me how you can't always phrase things how you mean it, I won't simply take that statement as the mark of arrogance.

Meanwhile, please please tell me you already have a copy of Ten Little Rubber Ducks. I saw it at the store yesterday and it was so adorable. I wish I could splurge on cute kids' books like that one.
