I finally found this gallery and it's hard to resist the urge to switch my avatar to the boobs in the WoW gallery.

I have recently re-discovered the Wikipedia article on Impossible Objects, and am now obsessed with learning how to draw a Blivet. Which, in itself, is an impossibility for me, since I was (quite formally) born with 2 left hands.

I'm just being facetious. I went to occupational therapy when I was young (ages 5-6 or so) because I had problems using my hands for some (many) activities; for example, my writing and cutting with scissors still aren't perfect.
ETA: Are there really people born with 2 left hands? I thought Spongebob was the only one.

OMFG I just watched Kick Ass and it is pretty much the greatest thing of all time! Exactly what I needed at the moment. Seriously, even if you've seen the red band trailer you've no idea how much amazing ass kicking, shocking, and downright joyful vigilantism you're in for with this movie. Hell yes. It really is just that awesome.
Also i have a kick Ass shirt. unfortunately it's not Hit Girl, but Red Mist is okay. McLovin, represent.

So, Lone Star, now you see that evil will always triumph because good is dumb.

Something I just noticed: the top of the board says "Philoticweb: Ender's Games fan site". Since when does Ender have "Games"? I thought he had just one game- did OSC release a book named "Ender's Chess" without me knowing about it?
(ergo, when someone changes the Pweb logo to something less...dying, they should change that tiny bit, too. Or just add an apostrophe and name Pweb as the only Ender's Game fansite available online)

Just that tiny bit? If we ever get The Scream taken care of, I'd like to think changes wouldn't stop at removing one little "S."(ergo, when someone changes the Pweb logo to something less...dying, they should change that tiny bit, too.
Things I'd like to see on Pweb
Strikethrough (text)
Bullet points (lists)
Spoiler tags (actual spoiler tags, not text color to blend in with the background)
Front page birthday announcements
New banner
Pruned member list (maybe the 2006/2007 registrants who never posted)
Smilies (stoned kermit, group hug, devils, etc.)
The second line for thread titles (not sure what those were called)

Are you sure those exist? I've never seen either. But yeah, they would be cool.

I agree with everything on Alea's list except the pruned member list. For some reason I just think it's wrong to mess with that. The board has its history, which includes members who've never posted. :::shrug:::
you snooze, you lose
well I have snozzed and lost
I'm pushing through
I'll disregard the cost
I hear the bells
so fascinating and
I'll slug it out
I'm sick of waiting
and I can
hear the bells are
ringing joyful and triumphant

I'm not strongly opinionated on the member list; if it ever became possible to do anything to Pweb, that's something I wouldn't argue strongly for getting done, though I still don't think it's necessary/important/meaningful to keep them on if they're not a clone or obvious alt. of an active/once active member. "Shrug" is it exactly.
But looking at the member list, we had clones! I was just reminded that it was something of an honor to be cloned. *warm fuzzies*

Call your admissions counselor (or admissions department) at WashU and tell them they are your first choice and ask what you can do to speed up your admission to the university. Basically, just ask questions about the process and express your sincere interest in attending. It might not get you a spot then and there, but it certainly wouldn't hurt.Waitlisted to WashU.
Ouch. Kinda hurts.
Step softly; a dream lies buried here.

Help Ender win the cage match against Raistlin Majere.
And vote for your other favorites while you're at it.

That battle is grossly inaccurate. Sure, the wizzard-dude might - might - have been able to catch Ender off-guard, but Bean would've immediately run up, punch the douche in balls and then whack him over the head with his own staff while the rest of the jeesh annihilates the space-dragons who somehow thought their fire breath would A. actually work in the vacuum of space and B. be anything more than a minor annoyance against armored warships armed with the MD device. Once Mazer awakes from his coma and nurses his sore testicles, he congratulates the kids on yet another outstanding victory and apologizes for his ill-conceived, poorly executed and rather immature prank.
The enemy's fly is down.

Mancunian mother finds an american alive in her salad. She was so upset that she had to throw away the dinner.
Manchester Museum offered to keep the american for their collection, though.
