O_o to be honest, that's really bizarre. I've never done it explicitly from the command line...but I spent 5 years using XP as one of my 2 primary operating system, so I'm pretty used to its vagaries, and every XP computer I've used allows global read + write access to user's home directories unless you explicitly disallow it, as opposed to Unixy systems which require explicit permission to make a file readable by another user. Next time I'm on XP I'll take a screenshot of it for you...

Walking around I see the chaos, the destruction and the void
that the mindless create with thorns in their sides and the free running
around with what they have alive, shooting because they want it.

No regard.
No mercy.
Pure anarchy in the sense most of us see it.
There is little government with authority and massive leaders
claiming their roles in the society that they call their own.

Look at me when you shoot this bullet through my head
because it will be one of you that pushes me over the edge and into
Kurtz's dominion.

I have come to a simple conclusion through my own comprehension.
Surely I cannot be the first, as there are so many before me, so many other
veterans of the wars fought through the digital sea we all find ourselves surfing
in our own free time and our own idiosyncratic patterns.

Vastly it is needed.
A new breed, one beyond the old classifications of the broken lives.
There are so many more experienced in this world, and so many more in
their finite wisdom spanning a far greater chasm than I could wish to accomplish.

But yet I find myself at the brink of this chasm, and knowing that it's human
himself that keeps us from walking the path we've yet to build to the other side.
The second shore, the gates of Peter, what have you.

There is only one concept that can ever create it.

Peace.

A treaty forged by those who once opposed and yet find themselves
in need of one another. A group of one cannot exist by themselves.

A herd of lions are left on their plain without a single gazelle in sight.
They starve.

A flock of gazelles are left without control by the lions, and they feed
to greatly and find themselves without proper nourishment the next day.

A balance.
An equilibrium synthesized not in the hands of anyone
but by the census of the many.

I am no god. He is no god. She is no god. You are no god. They are no gods.
We are no gods. It is no god. Replace the pronouns how you wish.

A real god is beyond the influence of it's herd.
A real god isn't swayed by the varying functions of those around it.
A real god is going to be just in it's own mind.
A real god does not exist among the men, as it created them
and thus must be above them at all times.

There are, however, orders.
Tiers.

The gazelles find themselves formulating and succumbing to the standards
if they are left to fend for themselves.

Let the war beat drum themselves until you are all tired of their percussionist
or borrow the time that is given to you with a new order.

Do not speak of those acting as if they are higher than others as if they are not.
They have either proven themselves to be as such
or they have claimed themselves to be.

There is a commonwealth in this bureaucracy that breathes life into
what is without lungs and calls it the clovers of a new found glory.
Stop the start, uncover the disguises and strip down the vessel
that carries water from the contaminated into the soiled. There
are stocks and suitcases floating in the inevitable sirens that restore
upon the fire that fights mechanical freezes.

Without it, there would be only you and me.
There would be only what you perceive to be me.
There would only be what you allow to be yourself.

We are not real, we are only the metaphysical conception of
a miracle. Out of the million upon million of possibilities, we were
born from the womb of our mother and the seed of our father.

Forgive. Forget. Learn anew. Turn a new leaf.
This is an olive branch, a term of apologies and a term
of excuses establishing themselves for good.
Let us live.
Step into the water
and f*** over this city that we
erect to hold onto it's skyscrapers and
winding hills.

Papa, don't die. There is so much for you to yet teach us.
There is the small wishing wells that we all crowd around, you handing us coins to flick into.
Sweet Georgia, long ago stained with the slaved nig*er's blood.
There is little cover under this blanket you have given us, when
you died sunday, and we all understood.

You only remain who you are, for fear of the change that
will be created through your impractical descent into that of which
you alienate and worship.

While the many gazelle may eat to much and eventually kill the mass of the herd
there would be some left among the famished, and they would continue in their cycle.

The lions instead, would find themselves to frail to go on. Create enough of them
and there may be hope yet in an exodus bringing them to a new source of food where
they may live in relative harmony, without the need to fed, but the carefree way
to play among themselves in small little skirmishes that would always end with an undeniable
victor. Very unlike the wrestle with the herd that would never see it's folly and freely give
admittance to it.

No one wants to extend the friendship, when they are all human beings
and thus belonging to their own ego. Old quarries, extreme differences, and
thus there will never be peace. There will never be understanding.
If one side could see that of the other side, they wouldn't be apart of their side
in the first place.

Maybe one is right, maybe the both are.
Maybe there is no right answer.
Maybe the hybrid of before is the key to which this lock seeks.
A keen eye.
A steady hand.
A strong turn.
A firm grasp.
A quick pull.
And then the door is open, unable to close.
Because it would be like a flood.

Rainwater.
Knowledge.
Happiness for you and me.
Simply passing away as it sweeps over us
and takes us all in, a single entity of encompassing beliefs.
Encompassing ideologies.
Encompassing political beliefs.
Encompassing religious tones.
Encompassing racial backgrounds.
All as one, and yet never together, through the infinite space
between the molecules that hold us together, vastly adverse to
the finite wisdom any of us could possess.

Had I lives to live a thousand more in conscious continuation, I would
choose to pull the trigger enough times to take me forth into the next million years.

Summer blows us away, quietly swallowing the waves of the beaches.

We are all a part of this organism, and we are all at war with one another.
Don't fear to speak your own mind against that of another.
Fear not being able to support your own thesis. For then it is
not your own, but that of what you have heard from another.

The worst thing you can do is to think for yourself.
Not everything has been done before.
If it had, there would be no individual.
That I cannot accept, forgive me for my own
pathos.

It's that sometimes I wish this city, it's burning lights, it's slums
it's whole existence, the billboards plastered with the obscure references
and the cults running their churches of obsessions.

You are simply pathetic.
Every time I see you, I want to just break every one of your fingers.
Than I stop.
I think.
Who am I?
What makes me think these things.
I am better.
I know that.
I am better because you are lesser.
This is not circular.
It is not logical.
It simply is fact.

Snap at your heels. Break your back. Hear this.
Don't respond, don't answer. Just wear your bullet proof vest
behind that bullet proof glass, with the many guards guarding you.

I see through it all.
I see your own remorse.
Your human nature dictating you forward.

You allow this to be more than it ought to be.
Or should it be more?
Is not the world turning to a digital era?
Is this not the wave of the future, and thus making us
the forerunners? The vanguard of the cyber status?

We create our own laws, but fail to see that they are the laws
that the race horses have ran to before we even first captured them and
created them to be our creatures.

We are tired symphonies. Babies you must not shake.

I can promise you that while I can be the biggest a** you have
ever seen.
I can also be the sweetest guy you have ever known.
As me to white knight and I will white knight.
Ask me to oldfag, and I will oldfag.
Ask me to be myself, and I will have no idea what to do.
I will sit here dumbstruck and caught in contemplation.
Who am I? Where am I going in this life? I've already wasted
a good 20% of it, and fail to see why I should waste the rest
and yet I continue to do so. Any attempts at fun for my own
reward is viewed as crude and unneeded by the majority.

You simply lack the mindset I have allowed myself to borrow.
Humans are, as a set, uncaring, we are cruel, we are centralist.
Why then is it not that we should look at the bad that is pointed out
and mock it openly and laugh? Isn't it then that the bad can find their
will to change? Why not promise to the good a system to give them their
deserved. Because then we are seen to be keeping to our own little click.

There is no move we can make, that I can make, that will not upset one person
or another.
Inaction is in fact action.
Take this message for me.
This talking is an echo of a dead family.

You don't remember those people anymore.
You don't remember the places we went.

We know what you don't know.
But you already make yourself the target by grouping yourself
as the you instead of the we. You adhere yourself to the
problem by assimilating into the we before looking down the barrel
at the you.

Continue the madness.
Continue the jokes.
The humor.
The tears.
The chocking compassion.
You are not yourself.
You are only what I make you out to be.
I am only what you make me to be.
I am only your god if you make me your god.

I bow to no one, and yet there is a need to find
what grows. A want to find this middle ground
but the want of vengeance.

I know I am right.
Why else would I fight for it?

Surely you think the same.
But you must be wrong, because I am right.

Make the mistakes in your mind.
Don't take us, all things go to be created before
they are killed off by the mindset of growing.

Find it.

Cultivate it.

Harvest it.

Enjoy it.

Process it.

Dispose of it.

Start again.

Repeat.

The same thing day after day.

If I was crying.... in the van, with my friend.
It was for freedom, from myself and from the land.
I made of lot of mistakes.
I made of a lot of mistakes.
I made a lot of mistakes.
You came to take us.
All things go. All things go.
To recreate us.

Mindset
Know
You
Things
Us
Recreate
We
All
Her
Mistakes

I find myself at the edge of a cliff.
I'm staring down it.
A steep drop.
I can see the other side.
Can I jump it?
Can I make the bound.
It's no longer a question.
It's a statement.

Ponder this.

You aren't going to win a game that I created.
Because why would I create it if I wasn't going to win?
This isn't for fun.
This is for the future.
For humanity.
If I can change one person, as cliche and childish it sounds
then that ripple goes forth and makes a difference.

Silver plowed drifting from the bathtub to the sink.
Blood, a razor blade, a body crumpled on the floor with her
blonde hair. Barbie's dead. Shrug it off and move on.
We are no longer the human beings we wanted ourselves to be.
We are the songs on the radio.
the advertisements during the superbowl.
the meme's of the chan.

Annoying.
Unoriginal.
Disapproving.
Condescending.
Alone.
Married to it's own fake image.
You are a child, and all the while the adults are
trying to show you the right photographs to keep you alive.

Maybe we didn't think it all the way through.
Maybe we couldn't realize how different you were.
How long it would take.
How your eyes would stray.
From the surprise.
We just want to know what you know
so we can know if where we've gone is the reminder of what
it used to be, of what it can yet become, and what card that
white rabbit has up it's sleeve, playing with the odds the way it does.

I miss math; I didn't take it at all in college and I kind of regret it. I've always liked problem solving, which is probably why I wound up in law school, anyway. Except in the real world, problems don't always have solutions, or you can bend things until they do have solutions, but there are a multitude of possible ones. With math, problems have one solution, which reminds me of when life was simple. I miss that.
Step softly; a dream lies buried here.

Excommunication is not the normal method for dealing with crimes like the stepfather's. Nor has any article I've read bother mentioning the usual pastoral behind-the-scenes steps taken before any excommunication.

Do I agree with the heirarchy? We won't talk about it. Do I think the situation has been grossly misrepresented for the sake of a sensational story? Probably.

if I had the data they generated that with it would be reasonably easy to do a Riemann sum.

I LOL'd so hard. That entire website is filled with lulz, by the way.

Also, I have this really awesome plan. I'm going to blow my entire weeks worth of things-to-do-on-spring-break in one day. Tomorrow. I am going to wake up, go get a haircut, go eat at Denny's, then go see a movie. Yeah, I really didn't have that large of a list of things to do. What movie? Watchmen. I have a fever, and the only cure is nonerectbluepenis.

FML! I discovered that about 3, 4 weeks ago and spent who knows how long reading the 14 most current pages before I just couldn't handle any more. Some of those people deserved what they were complaining about but there were some that just sucked (but were still funny).

I'm gonna stop at one page, but damn, there are a lot of gems there.

My favorite:
Today, I decided to tell my mom about my choice to wait to have sex until after marriage. Coming from a very christian family I thought she would be proud. Instead she laughed and said, "is that your excuse for not being able to get laid?" and walked out of the room. FML
though this one was pretty awesome too.
Today, my mom came to me and asked if I had drank her wine. I'm 16, so I lied and said "no". The next morning there was a DVD on my bed labeled "pool house security cameras- love mom." It was a video of me downing two bottles of red wine and having sex with my boyfriend. FML

Wrong. Bash.org is only on occasion laughable after the initial runthrough of their database. I'm guessing FML is going to be the same way. It provided me with more laughs-per-page, LPP, than bash.org ever has. Quit being a fanboy. ;)

I just spent three hours discussing the plot details of a fan Zelda game that I am intent on making with a buddy which bridges the gap between Twilight Princess and Wind Waker. It is awesome. It is dark. It is fanservice. Some things make me want to mancry. I have reached the pinnacle of my nerdiness as of right now.

We went to a restaurant to get corned beef and cabbage for St. Patrick's Day. Before we left, we were discussing the tip. 15% of the total was exactly $4.119. My sister felt we should leave $5. I tried to explain to her how tipping is like is a negative coefficient quadratic graph, with attentiveness on the X axis and tip amount on the Y axis. She was like "lolwut?!", so I pulled out my ipod which has a graphing calculator on it and I proceeded to graph that bad boy; something like this:

Image

Which is roughly the equation something like:
f(x)=-0.3x^2+3x

The idea, of course, is the more attentive you are, the more bothersome you become and the less your tip amount. That point might be different for everyone, but that idea is to redefine the graph for each person and then find the vertex and be precisely that attentive to that person! They should totally hire me.

Suffice it to say; I've never done ANYTHING like that before and it creeps me out a little bit. Though the idea was pretty badass. She wasn't worth a 20% tip, let me tell you. My water glass remained empty after repeated passing's of my table!

Hmmm.

It could be horrible... but the fanboy in me wants it, oh, yes, it does.

Apparently a boy I have a sort of crush on is married.

Weird. Ah, well....

Haha, that reminds me oddly of physics class where we discussed y=x, y=x^2, y=1/x and y=1/x^2 in terms of the dynamics of a romantic relationship, and also that your number of prospective spouses (spice?) is defined by the center region of a venn diagram based on your physical, intellectual, and spiritual requirements for your spouse.

w.r.t. Zelda plans, you should check out Spencer's Zelda game on http://www.revsoft.org. He's been working on it for at least 2 or 3 years at this point.

He's 18. So yeah, I guess so. I think of him as a "boy" because
1. He's only 2 years older
2. As long as I've known him, he was younger than 18..

Married at 18? Bleh. He's still a boy to ME, even. If you want to be pessimistic, you could hold out the chances being high for this marriage not working out. ;)

Are you sure he's married, or is that just his relationship status on facebook?

Oh, yes, badass. That's definitely the word I would use to describe this. Parabolas are in this year. Just like italics.

Hahaha.
I suppose that could happen.

Well, it's a real person. But she's got a different last name, so I could hope.... I've thought of that, but no use in getting my hopes up..
