Of all the stories and songs on the way back, that was my favorite. I should have recorded it.

I was hoping it would make you smile!

We're going camping this weekend, so I'm practicing songs with the kids to sing around the campfire. I couldn't help but think of you when we sang that one!

I am not very good at flushing out my eye. Maybe it got too windy for the little fellow but a bug decided to make a crash landing inside the lower lid when I was riding home.

POSSIBLE PET-RELATED TMI POST:

I can't imagine the horrors of having to "deal" with my two kitties if they weren't fixed. That whole "cotton swab" deal, you know?

Here is the preface: I came home and my apartment smelled suspiciously of poop. Cat poop. I look in the litterbox, sure enough there's a big old poop in there, more liquidy than usual. Well, I scoop some litter over it, as that normally takes care of it, and I'll take out the litter later. I think nothing more of it.

Later I'm at my computer, browsing the nets, and Roxxie comes over and jumps into my lap, as is her usual activity when I come home. She smells horrible. Like that big ol' poop. I know what must be done.

I have a bag of rags that I got at Safeway for a buck, which is pretty much two gallons of t-shirt strips. Not a bad deal, really. I dampened one in the sink, scratched Roxxie's hips to get her to raise her tail, and, averting my eyes, started scrubbing back there.

I didn't mind the fact that this turned the moist end of the rag a very healthy light brown color. Or the fact that the rag smelled pretty strongly until I scrubbed it out in the sink. What I minded was the really weird, stuttered purring...

I am never looking at her. Never again.

You're the third Pwebber to post this somewhere I could see (here, FB) and I already know one never saw the show and I never asked the other. Have you seen the show?

I need to find someone who has, who hopefully doesn't frequent 4chan or EqD type sites, so I can ask about a few characters I'm curious about.

You seriously asked that? What kind of little boy do you think I was... that's rhetorical.

As to who you can talk to about it, there is a reason Nicole is you Twinny.

1) I sure did seriously ask that. The presentation was based off characters from the newest show, Friendship is Magic, not the one that would have played when we were kids.

2) Boy, man, whatever. The biggest demographic for FIM is for 18-34 year old males. Like the guy that gave that presentation, for instance. I don't see what the big deal is if a guy watches. It's funny and much more gender neutral than you'd think.

3) You are a goob.

I rest my case.

I don't like the proper pronunciation of "roulette", so I shall henceforth say it improperly as rue-lay. In my head. Because I don't want people looking at me (any more than they sometimes do) as though I'm an idiot.

Vanilla-flavoured chewable calcium tablets taken with coke taste unsurprisingly like vanilla coke. Weird.

Recently I've realized that I cannot type phoenix with the correct spelling if I pronounce the word in my head at the same time. If I'm saying it in my head and typing at the same time, I must say "faux-nix" or I spell it wrong.

I'm almost positive that came out when I was living in Tucson, so I want to say November or December of 2004. At least, I have possible memories of talking to Goat with the TV on for background noise.

At any rate, my family hardly ever calls Phoenix by anything other than "Puh-ho-nix" now.

"I wouldn't mind a non-Kvothe sequel trilogy, in that, at the end of book 3, Kvothe gets his s*** back together, and then the sequel trilogy, when the protagonists visit an inn or a pub, there's people talking about the distorted/exaggerated further exploits of Kvothe.

ie. Kvothe calling down lightning to kill 10,000 Scrael, Kvothe forcing tons of Mael out of possessed bodies by the thousands, etc."

That would blow my mind.

I only call it Puh-ho-nix, too! (But I mispronounce just about everything, so, no surprise, there.)

Tonight, I'm going with my sister to see "The King and I" at an absolutely fabulous dinner theatre. Brian is at Chuck E Cheese with our 3 kids and his brother's 4 kids. He's the only adult. I think I've got the better end of the deal tonight!

As I was tidying up this morning, I noticed one of my Ranger Rick magazines was disassembled by a young, enthusiastic reader and lying on the ground was this page; I just knew I had to put him up on my cork-board type thing at my desk downstairs. God, I can't get over how adorable he is.

Did I tell you what name Mark came up with for my 18mo old niece to call him? Uncy Monkey. And she says it too! He loves monkeys. My other niece (who is eight) calls him T-rex. I don't have any cool names.

Yeah, Nomi, you told me about Uncy Monkey. It's freaking adorable. And you may not have any cool nicknames but need we remind you, you almost had a Pweb baby named after you...right? Wasn't Maggie almost named after you (okay, not after-after you but still...after you)? Your real name is pretty darn cool.

Also, Steph, you're kind of my Pweb hero of the day for the past few days. 8)

Awww, shucks. I'm just trying to create conversations with people. I feel like, lately, people have been talking around each other instead of having conversations. So I'm conversing and hoping that people will catch the fever!

I do have to bow out of my pledge for the next couple of days, since we're going to the Springs for our weekend. Mini-vacation with the family is more important than my 5 pweb posts! I'll be back a-postin' by this weekend.
