But how else will people know that he/she is so much more special than everyone else with that name, and that you're oh so creative??*random*
I swear, if I have children someday, and if I give them regular, plain old ordinary names, I am NOT going to try to cutesy it up by using non-traditional spellings. Particularly not spellings that are so non-traditional that it renders the name completely unrecognizable. Why on earth does anyone think that's a good idea?

Caden. Or Cayden.
I'm with you guys. I like my kids' names to be spelled like the sound and sound like they're spelled. I don't want them to constantly be having to spell their names for people or correcting them on what their name is.
We did use a variation on Braden for Brayden. Part of the reason we decided on the "y" version of the name is so that it isn't as easily confused with Brandon. Although, older people (50's and older) do tend to spell it with an "o" rather than an "e." It's not Bray-DON, people, it's BRAY-den. I really didn't think it would be that confusing for people.
Kinley is a more unique name, but we liked it because it wasn't a WEIRD unique name. (Check out the Utah Baby Namer site for loads of entertainment!) And it's spelled exactly how it sounds. And it turned out to be a family name.
Tyler's name is pretty darn straight forward and simple. I don't have any commentary on it.

It's sad how my friend Marie has to spell her name for people. And it's not because they think her name is Mary, it's because they try to use "unique" spellings: Maree, or Muhrie. Or they just have no idea how to spell the single most common female middle name.

"re". "re" "re" "re". It is the historically correct spelling! "er" is some stupid thing that someone stupid made up because they were stupid and tried to put too many syllables into my name.
It's another reason I try to go by Jeff; I can't get annoyed at people who don't know the proper way to spell a pretty common name.

It took me a moment to properly route this one. I thought for just a second there you were speaking of names, not your poor puppy (it wasn't your fault and I'm sorry it happened). Thanks guys... but Im going to be really upset if that happens when I get a new one.. it wasnt even my fault..
I was trying to think of a situation in which you might get a new name and have to worry about the spelling and why you might be upset about that, the only two things being marriage and baby but I also know you are too young for either.
I got it, though. It all makes sense. Good luck with your next little critter, zelda.

Both the girl-option and boy-option names we are considering are pwebber names.

Hey, among all the pwebbers, some of you had to have names we already like! It's not our fault your parents were clairvoyant!

I feel really sorry for the next set of Pweb parents...this is an awfully difficult thing to top but I feel like it needs to be tradition. If you met your fellow baby-maker on this board, the least you owe us when bringing a Pure Pwebberâ„¢ into the world is a whole page of new posts. The least.
Also, I'm really glad I started reading this from work. The number of posts between when I left and got home is crazy enough.

Since there aren't many long-term pweb inspired relationships just now, I'd say whoever is next has time to come up with something.I feel really sorry for the next set of Pweb parents...this is an awfully difficult thing to top but I feel like it needs to be tradition. By the by, Donny and I picked out what we're going to name a girl, should we ever have one, even back before we were engaged. That's set in stone. It's not a pwebber name, that I'm aware of, but just FYI, should some other pwebber come along and get knocked up and use that name, and then we have a baby and give it that name, we're not copying.Noooooooo, not again! Just kidding, I think that's great.Let speculation commence...

Not quite random, but:
Also, don't look at me about the tiny image. Tumblr is stupid and won't let me link to the big one, which you can view here.

A good video for those in creative fields, or probably anyone that does contract work: http://vimeo.com/22053820
And also just an interesting video for anyone else, I think.

When Alea put the paper on the wall,
She put the parlor paper in the hall.
She papered up the stairs.
She papered up the chairs.
She even put the paper on Grandma's shawl.
When Alea put the paper on the wall,
She spilled a pot of paste upon us all.
And now we're stuck together
Like birds of a feather.
