It's a Girl!
It's a Girl!
Jayelle is healthy, resting and recovering well, sends her love to everyone here, and will probably be home on Monday.
ETA: Oh yes, details. Born just before 3pm on Friday the 22nd, weighing 6 pounds 1 ounce. Her name is Guinevere, and she's the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.

It's not "noob" to rhyme with "boob". It's "newbie" to rhyme with "boobie".

And there will come a time, you'll see, with no more tears.
And love will not break your heart, but dismiss your fears.
Get over your hill and see what you find there,
With grace in your heart and flowers in your hair.

She is incredibly beautiful. You guys are blessed. And I love the name. Perfect.

Congratulations!
Who controls the British crown? Who keeps the metric system down?
We do! We do!
Who leaves Atlantis off the maps? Who keeps the Martians under wraps?
We do! We do!
Who holds back the electric car? Who makes Steve Gutenberg a star?
We do! We do!
Who robs cavefish of their sight? Who rigs every Oscar night?
We do, we do!

Hi everyone,
Thanks for all the congrats. We are so excited (and tired). It was a relatively short labour for a first time birth - about 22 hours from the first hints of contractions to "it's a girl".
I can say without any hyperbole that she is the most beautiful baby ever to be born in the history of the universe.
Pictures don't do her justice, but here's another one:
Thanks again. I can't believe she's really here!

Jan, she is yanking my heartstrings! All the Pweb babies have been so beautiful!
you snooze, you lose
well I have snozzed and lost
I'm pushing through
I'll disregard the cost
I hear the bells
so fascinating and
I'll slug it out
I'm sick of waiting
and I can
hear the bells are
ringing joyful and triumphant
well I have snozzed and lost
I'm pushing through

OMG you guys are killing me. Honestly. My biological clock started to tick about two years ago and this is putting me over the edge. She is so unbearably adorable.

Love the family portrait there and that she's smiling in her ducky outfit. I say keep the pictures coming; I'm enjoying them very much.
On the topic of baby hands...I love it when babies grip an adult's finger. There's just something about the difference in size that I can't get over. Little person, little hand, big person, big hand.
And the smell of baby. Well, some of the smells of baby I can live without, but the overall, non-puke, non-diaper smells are like a drug. I used to keep a sock from my nieces and nephews when they were babies because it retained their baby smell so well.

Se paciente y duro; algún día este dolor te será útil.
