people literally dancing in the streets - when has that ever happened before??
When the Red Sox won the series in 2004.

But, seriously, as someone who was present for and participated in last night's street-dancing--what an incredible moment.
Yeah, I meant for an election. It's normal for sports events, but I think it's pretty unprecedented for a US election.
One Duck to rule them all.

I am so proud of the American people for putting Obama in office.

Obama's speech last night was so inspiring.
McCain's concession speech was gracious.

A co-worker who knew that I worked on Obama's campaign said, "Happy New Year!" when she saw me this morning.

Or as my daughter put it, "Happy New Era!"

I feel like dancing in the streets myself!

Not to mention that the dancing only happens in one area for a sports championship. Hell I was dancing in the streets for the Phillies win. It's a bit different when it is happening across the country.

Now, is there any word on what his cabinet was going to look like?

Obama's got balls he has to deal with a massive economic problem , then the war in Afghan, Iraq and being black in a white ruled country is very hard Obama is also a one term senator who has very little amount of friends in either houses so progress may also come slow not having all of the connections that McCain has i am so glad though that he got elected

Daniel- you know speaking in the third person has proven that your crazy.

So, Lone Star, now you see that evil will always triumph because good is dumb.

I think it's funny that all 3 of my Texas counties "shifted Democrat" but only one of them actually went Blue.

At least with Obama winning we won't be left wondering: Is he a terrorist-loving communist trying to destroy America from within? Policies in that direction aren't subtle and easy to disguise.

Locke, that looks like part of the series of maps that the NY Times published. You can see the full set here:
