Pweb scrapbook
no fear you can recover it (how do you think I got the endercon videos, old chat transcripts going back to pre pweb, dictionary entries I wrote etc etc.)

and I did it for free using the NTFS reader.
and save your old harddrives because you can always buy an enclosure for them that will make them usb externals.

What?! I'm pretty sure I made this version. Unless my memory has failed horribly.2 version of my avatar, zero. The first one (green background) was made for me by a guy I dated junior year of HS. Eventually we broke up, badly (he basically stalked me)... but I liked the general idea of the avatar... so Josh made me the red background one.

I find Flash to be Evil in general, but it may suit your needs for this quite well. Note that it will involve purchasing/pirating some Adobe software in order to create it. Will and others can probably provide more specific info. Will, when I'm more awake, I'll ask you questions about that flash stuff...like why I should want to when I probably have no idea how to use it or what the benefits would be. Hmm, I think I implied questions there.

I'm ALSO pretty sure that the reason was to do with my thinking your old avatar showed its MS Paint genesis too obviously, so I went ahead and remade it bettererer in Photoshop.Oh, damn! You're right Chris... you did. That was a total brain-fart. I'm sorry!

So, thanks to Will, I have my files back. He had the pity and patience required to deal with me from 1-4am, when I was pretty darn cranky and tired and annoyed with all the programs that let me look at my files but asked me to pay in order to recover them.
I got my Hannah pictures back -and those suckers are rare- as well as the Pweb chats, so I'm happy.
Steph, any help is appreciated. Thanks.
Ed, if all else fails, I'll commission you to do a stick-person portrait of the missing ones
*hugs Pweb* Because you guys have been awesome about indulging me and my boredom.

I'll see what I can do.
I've been looking through some of the old threads. Good times.
In the first two threads the I looked at Strokeman called me a thug and Jayelle called us the PhillyCreamCheese Boys. *giggles*
Saw some inside jokes that I don't even remember. At on point I had a quote saying "I AM THE RABBIT" in my sig. I have no idea what that means. I guess you start to forget things after 7 years.

I am largely disappointed.
Wayback gave an estimated 30,525 pages or so for philoticweb.net and only let me go up to 20,000. No matter what I did to get around it, the links died; though it may not have mattered much as posts 16,000 or so to 20,000 were Pweb 3.0 and so, likely, were the ones that followed.
Of the 16,000 or so I made it through before I hit 3.0, I want to say only 4-6,000 were from Pweb 2.0. I may be remembering incorrectly, as I went through them so fast, but I don't think I'm far off. A lot of the 10-12,000 pages before were avatars, dead links, graphics from the main page and its branches, (empty) profile pages, non-functional reply boxes, etc. Looking at the 4-6,000 pages of Pweb 2.0, I got a decent amount of information but there were quite a few dead links, pages that were repeated, just plain silly/non-informing pages, and pages that were just plain not there. For all that I found, I feel a bit empty handed. No Han-Tzu fake/real death thread and no Pweb Purity Test thread, which were two I was really counting on finding, the former for a good story's sake and the latter to hopefully supply a link to the quiz (because I'm curious as to how people would score now if it's still working). I'm sure there were other threads I'd have loved to stumble across and have simply forgotten about.
*sigh* I am trying really hard to be creative now that I have less in the form of informative posts than I hoped to find.
Now I'm compiling join dates because that seems important for some reason. And it lets me stall a bit to continue considering how it is I'm going to throw this all together and it gives a few people time to send stuff they said they would *looks in Doc's direction*. So that's where I'm at.
(Methinks I just like to talk too much.)
