3. Find another job. One that pays well, preferably.
I had an interview last week and felt rather confident coming out of it. The attorney doing my interview had previously worked at the non-profit I'm currently at and was rather impressed with what I've been doing there, lately. So, cross your fingers that I can check this one off, everybody.
4. Edit at least four writing samples to submit to firms in August (one employment law sample, one trademark law sample, one SSI sample, and one corporate law sample).
I
really need to work on this.
5. Send résumés and writing samples to at least twenty more firms by August 15th at the latest or before their deadline for next summer's associates if before the 15th.
Of the twenty firms I wanted to contact, I've already got my résumé out to the ten or so that don't require a writing sample up-front. After I buckle down and finish editing them, I'll be good to go.
6. Clean my home office, the living room, dining room, and kitchen.
Everything except my office is c-l-e-a-n.
8. Balance our budget for the next six months.
I'm putting this off until I find out whether or not I get the job I mentioned above. If so, I can actually pay off my student loans from undergrad this year and not pay a dime of interest, which would be stellar.
Step softly; a dream lies buried here.
