Jota, Bonito! Congrats!

Euro Cup, not World Cup.

But still, go Spain. They were really pegged as the underdog.

(wow. How did a non-sporty person like me know all that?)

I watched (sort of... I was in the room, anyway. I love, love, love watching sports but somehow can't really get into soccor or (American) football). We were officially rooting for Germany, since David lived there for two years and loves the team, but I can't be too disappointed that Spain won because I relish a good underdog victory.
you snooze, you lose
well I have snozzed and lost
I'm pushing through
I'll disregard the cost
I hear the bells
so fascinating and
I'll slug it out
I'm sick of waiting
and I can
hear the bells are
ringing joyful and triumphant

Even though I'm not truely Spanish, Viva Espania! Played well all tournament and finally broke their "eternal losers" stigma that has been following them for 44 years.

Though I rooted for Holland- who pretty much kicked ass in the first parts of the tournament, until they lost to Russia in the quarter finals.
