I had the pleasure of seeing John Hodgman and Jonathan Coulton last night at a book signing event in Milwaukee.
Hodgman is the "PC" in the "I'm a Mac" commercials, as well as a regular on the daily show, as well as "The Deranged Millionare" on the They Might Be Giants Venue Songs Album, as well as the author of the funniest book I have read in a long time "The Areas of My Expertise."

Jonathan Coulton is Hodgman's own Troubador. But at the same time, he is an impressive songwriter in his own right. He just finished his "Thing a Week" project, in which he recorded a new song every week for a year. Some of the classic songs that came out of that project are "Code Monkey." or "Chiron Beta Prime," or "Freaky Doll" or "Re Your Brains."

If you don't know who these guys are, go to their sites, I promise you will find something that amuses you. Also if you happen to be in an area where they are stopping on this book tour, then let me suggest that you stop in and see them. Your time will not be wasted. The schedule of apperances is on the Hodgman site.

I am outraged. Why am I, the makeout hobo, not on e-hobo?
The Makeout Hobo is real, and does indeed travel around the country in his van and make out with ladies... If you meet him, it is customary to greet him with a shot of whiskey and a high five (if you are a dude) or passionate makeouts (if you are a lady).

And there will come a time, you'll see, with no more tears.
And love will not break your heart, but dismiss your fears.
Get over your hill and see what you find there,
With grace in your heart and flowers in your hair.
