EL and Rei can now confirm that Caspian, Ginny and I are all 100% real.
I don't know that I can claim to be more jealous of either side since I want to meet all 5 of you...all I can say is, that's not fair. :(
Pictures to come.
:D
Next time we're in the same area, we'll let you know in advance, and bug Jason too. I'm pretty sure seven of us would count as a mini-con. We'll call it "Awesome-Con."

I'm up to six, which I'm pretty pleased with considering my slight disadvantage in this area.

If you came, too, we'd have to call it SuperAwesome-Con. (You and Alea are now the two of my "must meet pwebbers" who I haven't scratched off the list yet.)

I started this at work for no good reason; I wouldn't call it boredom, since I'm keeping busy with work and then tend to enjoy my breaks no matter what I'm doing. I just...felt like it. So far it's just me but I'm kind of wanting to update it for everyone, see what that looks like. For here, I went with only one color per person, despite some being two or all three. If I talked to them and met them, I went with the red for a meet-up, if I've exchanged mail but also talked to them, went with blue for phone call, and only one person on here has stayed at the mail level only. Wait, not true, I missed a connection but I was working from memory at work (which is also the reason I forgot anyone, if I did). Don't know why I went with an oval when a circle would have made more sense. Like I said, I didn't really think it through, just started it for the hell of it.

I like this a lot. I need to talk to some Pwebbers so I can be connected to someone.

:)

I'm eager to see it with everyone all connected; I just can't do too much at work because it requires time and the ability to follow links that Translate won't always let me follow. I'll probably do separate ones for people I know the history of (through here or otherwise), on top of a group one. Anywho.

I did for whoever posted in this thread with an at least partially complete list and for those who didn't but popped up enough on other people's list. I added where I remembered and in the middle of it all, realized a few people I missed (wizzard - Ethan, for one, Janus, etc.)

About that hobby, now...

I have talked on the phone to Steph, years ago, but still. I have also mailed with KennEnder and Kelly. I can't remember, did I ever talk on the phone with you, Kelly?

*kinda stunned*

Anyhow, the only one you missed for me is that John (Hegemon) and I once had phone contact.

*snort* Like I'm going to fall for the "I married and made two incredibly cute babies with the woman" trope. Do I look like I was born yesterday?

(Woops. I've added all the ones you all have mentioned. I even have one made for Jan, that I will add to the collection tomorrow after work; too lazy to upload it now.)

*Psst* Alea, we talked on the phone. That's a category isn't it?

Though I don't know if I want to have the sad single line circle... It may be better to just not be connected to anyone at all.

It sure is. Just think of this as motivation to add more lines somehow.

Also, Noodle, you suuuuuck. I did this before you showed back up and it's impossible to add you in without redoing the whole thing. So, give me some time to redo the whole thing. :)

It seems like this would be doable in some of the graphviz tools. There's a lot of stuff for displaying undirected graphs, which is all this is. (There's even something to view the results via javascript in a canvas; see "canvis").

Edit: a quick example (svg). I was playing around with some formatting ideas... not sure how much of the original style is desired.
