There's something for the baby book...

"Squiggles, you were born at the same time that the world's first pregnant man gave birth."

So, apparently this story is true. A man from Oregon is 5 mo. pregnant (same as me). The reason why it's possible is that he...wasn't born a he. He's a transgendered male who kept his female reproductive organs.
He's on Oprah about it tomorrow.

...discuss.

I kind of wish he wasn't exploiting it the way he is, making transgendered people look like freaks. =/

I saw this story about a week ago, and, truth be told, I can't believe it's getting any more exposure than the Offbeat News section on Digg. Maybe I misinterpreted the story, but as far as I can tell, this is the story of a woman, who became a man, married a woman, and got pregnant herself. Truth be told, it sounds more like a terrible pitch for a sitcom, or Matt Parker and Trey Stone's latest South Park episode more than the sort of compelling, engaging stories that Oprah usually picks up.

This sounds like something more that Maury would pick up on to be honest.

Wasn't this an Arnold Schwarzenegger film a few years ago?

lol, it's not quite the same.

In all honesty it shouldn't be a big deal. It's not like it's a biological man getting pregnant. It's a woman who transitioned to a man who decided to use his unused anatomy to help him and his wife have a child. And then the pregnancy to make money. That's the part that sucks.

Those are my thoughts. A woman who transes to a man by pretty much taking testosterone and that's it hardly even counts as a transgendered person in my book; they're just someone who identifies as another sex. I mean, not that getting an operation cements anything, it just makes it, you know, less black-and-white.

Honestly, and this thought only just now occurred to me, if it wasn't money they wanted, then it sounds like they just want attention, and I only say this because I think that, were it me, and were I a female who associated as a male, I would not think of it as extremely unusual, or at least wouldn't hold a press release.

Um...ok, that's weird. But why is he getting so much attention?
