Silly, Jota. I was applying mathematics to make you and Mich more manly in comparison to zero. He was practically begging for someone to question his manliness!

I suppose I really should have been using EL as the measure, though. He's so masculine, his sex is never questioned and he doesn't need to include the word "guy" in his username to get that recognition.

...Wait, EL is a man? Or is that a joke?

For some reason, I've always thought her a woman.

Rei is a beautiful young lady, and EL is a magnificent dragon. How they consummated that marriage I'll never know.

My c-section is scheduled for March 8th.
You can't reschedule for 8 days later? ?

I approve of the month, though.

Steph, if you don't mind me asking, why are you having a c-section? I assume it's a repeat since it's scheduled, but why did you need one in the first place?

By the way, I generally dislike the OR, but I loved scrubbing in on c-sections. It is such a cool thing to watch. I saw one woman have a c-section with her twins. There was this moment after we had cut through the uterus but the amniotic sacs were still intact, and the babies just looked so peaceful. It's something I'll never forget. I also really like watching the dad look at the baby while he or she is getting cleaned up with the pediatricians. What can I say, I'm a sucker for that kind of thing!

My mom had a c-section when she had us, he only reason I could gather why she did is because there were 3 of us. She also had one when she had my little brother.

I don't mind you asking at all! When I was in labor with Tyler, with each contraction, his heart rate would drop but would raise back to normal when the contraction was over. After 20 hours of labor and being 9 1/2 cm dilated, his heart rate dropped below 60 and didn't come back up when the contraction was over. My midwife wisely got the OB and rushed me in for a c-section. It turned out that Tyler's cord was coiled in a crown on top of his head and each contraction would pinch it between his head and my pelvis. It was also wrapped around his neck. Without the c-section, I know he would have been severely brain damaged, or dead, depending on how long delivery took. It wasn't my first choice, but I'm grateful that I had a good medical team so that I could have my healthy, perfect baby.

How did I not know that you were a triplet? I have triplet siblings 2 years older than me.

Yikes! I was never in a delivery where the baby went that bradycardic. I don't think a "stat" c-section like that would be fun at all.

I love reading fetal heart tracings. It's normal for the baby's heart to drop during contractions, but it has to rise and fall exactly with the onset and ending of the contraction and has to be a nice smooth curve.

It's still in the works. The shop won't open until the summer. I'm planning a potential menu at the moment, and if it gets approved I'll be sending a sampler in the next few months.
you snooze, you lose
well I have snozzed and lost
I'm pushing through
I'll disregard the cost
I hear the bells
so fascinating and
I'll slug it out
I'm sick of waiting
and I can
hear the bells are
ringing joyful and triumphant

Steph, do you have any suggestions re: clenching my jaw? I've picked up this bad habit somehow and I'll realise I'm clenching and relax, only to find myself doing it again five minutes later. It's making my jaw sore.

P.S. Kelly, how is the menu planning going?

The only thing that can really suggest is to eliminate whatever stress there is in your life that could be causing the nervous habit. Have you tried the jaw massage technique? If you do that on a regular basis, it might help your jaw to remember to relax.

Human, did you take the Calculus BC AP Exam?

I've heard from pretty much everyone in my school that the free-response questions were tough shiz.

Also, did you take the English LIt one?

I took the BC exam back in the day. I remember being able to barely attempt some of the free response questions. Know your AB stuff cold - you can get a 3 even without knowing anything from BC at all. I was able to get a 5 but I'm pretty sure I bombed a lot of the BC stuff.

Wow I am getting old - that was 7 years ago now!
