I thought it might be but never double-checked. I'm the last human alive who isn't into that game, I think.
Nope. At least 2nd last.

It's my kids who play it, really. They used to play it on my sister's phone until we got smart phones. I let them play once every couple of days. To distract them from being technology addicts, Brian plays "Birds" with them by setting up pillow structures and launching the kids from his legs to knock it down. They love it.

I've never played Angry Birds either, although I did recognize the character.

Erm, I am freaking obsessed with Angry Birds. It's awesome.
you snooze, you lose
well I have snozzed and lost
I'm pushing through
I'll disregard the cost
I hear the bells
so fascinating and
I'll slug it out
I'm sick of waiting
and I can
hear the bells are
ringing joyful and triumphant

I gave Angry Birds a try but I don't have the skill/patience for it. I gave up after a week or two.

I don't get Angry Birds. I have it on my phone and I passed the first 30 levels or so, but the game is far too frustrating to actually be fun. It relies too much on luck/chance than any sort of skill. One of my friends spent countless hours trying to beat every level with 3 stars. I don't understand that kind of dedication! He did finally get it though.

Reminds me of the time I tried to beat every level of Burnout Revenge with a perfect 5 star score... Actually, I should try that again now that we have a shiny new 40" HD TV.

I don't really understand the popularity of Angry Birds either. The graphics are kinda cool but I've played better castle siege Flash games on the interwebs and grew tired of the genre a long time ago.

I set out to attempt to get three stars on each level. I was doing relatively well. For a couple levels, I resorted to looking online because I couldn't figure out where to start. Then I came upon a level that I went to youtube to watch how to beat. Stopping the video when the bird was contacting the first obstacle it hit. Aiming and hitting (a lot of the time) the same spot and continuously getting different results. I put it down then and never picked it back up.

The craft fair yesterday was a total disaster! :(

The weather was horrible, overcast and so cold, with really strong winds. The person in charge had put up NO signs, so hardly anyone came. I ended up packing up around 1pm because I could not stop shivering. It was such a waste of time and energy.

I only sold two items and that was just to fellow crafter friends. I did get a few special orders but again, just from friends. Such a different experience from last year (at the library's book & tag sale), when I sold $300 worth of stuff. Too bad they had to cancel this year due to construction. I can't wait until next year at the library again.

I used to use my shelves and desks and stuff to store things like books, cards, and other things I need. However, now thanks to Naomi (and partly Alea), I think their primary purpose is now for housing adorableness; all other uses are secondary.

The second image is Alea's, but the rest are my excellent cameraphone work. I tried to fix her hair a little, to give it more "swoop" like Fluttershy's hair actually has, but every time I did something it just seemed to make it worse. So I've stopped doing anything, at least for now.

But yeah, this is very cute and awesome. Many thanks to Alea and especially Luet and her mad crocheting skills. My room is now the manliest of all the rooms.

Seriously. Just so everyone knows, there was no MLP based pattern to work with. We had to choose the closest match and even then, Nomi made up a good portion on the fly (like the wings, which were amazing and probably my favorite part while the head, something else she tweaked, was a close second).

Thanks guys, I appreciate it. It was quite a challenge but I'm really happy how it turned out. But the mane and cutie mark are all Alea, she brought out the personality. And Zero, you need to fluff out those wings! :)

Aww, that's adorable. I wonder if there is a crochet version of it. And I wonder if it really keeps your beverage warm for longer. Hmm.

I have a knitted sleeve (not as nice as that one!) and it doesn't really make a big difference for ceramic mugs, but does for paper cups.

It kinda reminds me of teapot cozies from days of yore.

I thought it would be good for when your mug is too hot to hold. I often wrap a clean dish cloth around a mug to keep my hands from burning while I blow my beverage and enjoy the warmth on my face.

I had Angry Birds for about three days and uninstalled it because I thought there was no good way to play it, all luck more or less.

I much prefer Cut the Rope which requires skill and timing, and maybe a little luck. And I three starred everything, and only had to use the internet on three of the levels.

Renee and I are going as generic Hogwarts students for Halloween. Per my suggestion we are Ravenclaw, and I even bought the ties, otherwise we put together the costumes.
So, Lone Star, now you see that evil will always triumph because good is dumb.

I don't have a touch screen phone and so can't play any of these games myself but from watching other people, I never liked Angry Birds much. Cover Orange, on the other hand, is awesome. It's more of puzzle game that requires a bit of thought sometimes and not so much of the dumb luck of Angry Birds.

Sorry for a bump without new crafty content, but I just wanted to mention that this was in Equestria Daily's plushie compilation #23 a few days ago. After the fact, it really made me wish I had done more to fix the hair and wings (they're fluffed out now!)... those pictures don't really do her justice. Alas!

I'm having a problem with my angry bird hats. They look angry when I sew them, but as soon as you put them on your head, the only look mildly irritated. It makes me irritated.

I'm proud for you. Very impressive. Did you quilt it with just a sewing machine? I still need to quilt my tetris quilt. I'm still debating whether I should just man up and use a sewing machine or take time out of my rare weekends with the grandparents to use their quilting machine...

I think it's because the eyebrows look less dramatic my head rounds them out.

I'm sure it would. The problem is, I stitched the faces on the outside layer before stitching the 2 hat layers together. I'd have to pick a lot of seams to get it apart enough to fix the eyebrows and I don't have the time or energy. :( I guess I'll just claim that we're good therapy for birds with anger issues.
