I can't do roll-over text when I link it, for some reason. Anyway, I added it under the strip.

Anyone have a set of twins we could get to film this? Make it into an animated gif.

^ That's actually one of my favorites. As is the following:

Image

(Scroll over text: Opening dialogue by Scott.)

I can't find my actual favorite in the search. Damnit, this means I shall have to go through all the comics one by one until I find it. Pity.

Scroll over: Why can't you have normal existential angst like all the other boys?

There's another glimpse of sky...
There's another way to lean
into the wind, unafraid.
There's another life out there...

Jebus, you got one of my faves.

Image
Scroll over: I hope no automatic door I know read this, I would be so embarrassed.

Image
Scroll over: She's gonna feel like a jerk when she realizes that it was actually Under Pressure.

Image
Scroll over: It's possible. Better to be on the safe side.

Image
Scroll over: There was no-alt text until you moused over.

Image
Scroll over: Hey, I don't make the rules. It's in the book.

I'm probably going to end up posting them all because I'm bored in work.

Edit: Because URL does not equal image.

Okay, what's sad is that even without the images (they didn't show when I first looked at the above post), I knew exactly which comics most of those scroll overs were from.

I totally use the "if you die in Canada, you die in real life" line. I apply it other things.

Paul and I have been doing alot of "Don't you get it? We're having a baby in REAL LIFE!" Since it most of our name-thinking sessions degrade into the funniest name we can think of.

Don't worry Jeebs! I feel i am qualified to explain almost all the physics-nerdy stuff...
of course, this is only really funny when you are a nerd yourself.
(you should have thought about it when you asked to have amazing looks and an oversized member :P lol).

Edit: for some reason i feel terribly identified with the whole "This is important! Someone is wrong in the internet!"

Interestingly, today's reminds me of pweb more than anything else.

Image

"We are sexy, sexy Von Neumann machines."

And since people are apparently wondering at the meaning behind these, a Von Neumann (pronounced noy-man, I believe) machine would just be a machine implementing the Von Neumann architecture, the high-level architectural model shared by pretty much all modern day computers. The model treats data and processor instructions as equivalent things, which allows programs to create other programs (e.g. compilers). Thus, the reference to the comic. Not quite a perfect metaphor, as Von Neumann machines don't make copies of other Von Neumann machines, but it works well enough.

Also, while two of my favorites are mentioned above (Zeppelin and "YOU THINK THIS IS FUNNY?"), I'm surprised this one hasn't been brought up:

Image

"I'm just trying to explain, please don't be jealous! Man, why are all my relationships ruined by early 90's rappers?"

By the way, using the OhNoRobot search is helpful for finding comics you're looking for.

Yeah, I would put vanilla ice between "people who can always make me smile" and "people who show me new things to love about the world."

(Vanilla Ice is actually really scary! He's rather violent and nasty... I watched clips from his season of the Surreal Life.)

Oh, God...what's WRONG with me!?!

I actually found that "DROP TABLE" strip quite funny!

(It's like when my daughter was having trouble learning about torque in her physics class, I told her to "Take a moment and figure it out...")

I'm sick. I'm very, very sick.
