STAY ON TOPIC!!!: The thread

This thread is made for no other reason than to stay on the given topic, which happens to be staying on the topic. It's a mod's dream!

So stay on topic.

Diverge from the topic all you want. Just don't do it in the Jeesh area. Have fun.

I think that this is really a terribly immature and stupid thread, and you're totally asking for a beat down.

Maybe it is a stupid thread, but I made it, and you posted in it. I"ve already won.

The only way someone's standards for winning are that low are if they're a complete loser otherwise.

You got off topic!!!!

If I wasn't a loser, I wouldn't be here.

This place looks oddly familiar... like a relic of games rooms past...

By the way, last post.

I, for one, appreciate every silly thread that PWEB has. I don't mind there being extra threads like this if it means something more I get to read when I'm procrastinating :D

To that end, I'd like to expand on the idea of staying on topic:

Every meeting should have a "topic keeper". I like to ask for a volunteer at the beginning of the meeting. The topic keeper's job is to interrupt whenever the discussion strays from the topic under discussion. These new topics can either be tabled until later or scheduled for their own meeting. There is a fine line between what are amplifying remarks about the topic under discussion and what is a tangential topic. The meeting organizer can decide. It never hurts to say "let's take that up off-line".

Oh my god, yes please! At work, I mean.

I cannot, for one second, stand the amount of time wasted in 'meetings' at work. If we spent all that time actually doing things, my weekends would be my own.

Come to think of it, I need one for some of my teachers. They can ramble on forEVER about the most random tangents.

I get the feeling that I'm missing something by not reading any of the new Jeesh threads. And that that may have been a good move.

IF you can stay on topic in any other language, go ahead. But I'll translate anything you say to make sure you do.

I do speak Latin, but the course I took last year was crappy, and All I learned was conjications. The course I'm taking this year is better, I have a real teacher and I'm learning. I know a good deal, but I only know what the book teaches me.

No, it's a Cambridge Latin course. It follows the story of a fictional family that lived in Pompiie.

l2/"inb4"

gb2/failchan

Does that count as a different language? I think it's the only one where a majority of the vocabulary is made up of at least partially of profanity from another language.

About 20 mins... it's not straightforward at all :( you have to use the preview function a lot, to make it fit in the forum formatting.

But it's worthy, isn't it? :D

Anyway, this topic is great. It's so delicious and moist. Look at me, still talking when there is science to do. When i look out there makes me GLad i'm not you. I've got experiments to run, there is research to be done on the people who are still alive. And believe me I am still alive. I'm doing Science and I'm still alive. I feel FANTASTIC and I'm still alive. While you're dying I'll be still alive. And when you're dead I will be still alive. STILL ALIVE

I know that's gotta be a song or something, but I just kept picturing zombies dancing to the thriller dance and singing a refrain of STILL ALIVE!
