Lutya, you're the one who got me started on Sloan about five years ago! And they're still one of my very favourite bands. I keep trying to get my friends hooked on them, but it's not working. I have hope for my friend Ryan, he seems to recognize their potential.
You'd probably like Spoon, they're similar.

Well third eye blind, but not because I listen to them really. Mainly because I never listened to them back in the day and only just started listening to them a lot now.
Sexy back
this s*** is bananas song
"Toxic" by Britney and "Beautiful" by Christina but only cause of the amazing covers by Nickel Creek and Clem Snide.
"Nevermind me" by Big and Rich
"I Don't Wanna Wait" by Paula Cole. In fact, the fact that I own seasons 2-6 of Dawson's Creek is pretty embarassing.
"What's up" bby 4 non blondes. SOOO good.

It is not the sound of victory;
it is not the sound of defeat;
it is the sound of singing that I hear.

I don't know if this considered a guilty pleasure because I don't like these bands...but when I was out sometime last week...some of the guys were putting terrible music on the jukebox...like New Kids on the Block and Backstreet Boys and such...I don't know...I guess they thought they were funny...but I knew all of the words...which scares me...I wanted to throw up...*blah*...

Slow Me Down - Emmy Rossum
I KNOW! And I HATE Enya...so I can't believe I like this. But I do. A LOT. I think Emmy Rossum is cute as a button, but I am totally embarrassed to admit that I like this song.

you snooze, you lose
well I have snozzed and lost
I'm pushing through
I'll disregard the cost
I hear the bells
so fascinating and
I'll slug it out
I'm sick of waiting
and I can
hear the bells are
ringing joyful and triumphant

I enjoy bollywood music. Not all of it, as it has its own sub-genres I believe, but enough. I listen to it while biking or walking or at work or on my car stereo. And I want to get some more.

I want the High School Musical soundtracks. Especially the second.
And possibly the Hannah Montana CD as well. I say possibly on that one because I know of two whole songs on it but I really like them.
I think this is the definitive proof that my mind stopped developing when I was around 13 years old.

Wow... I hadn't thought about that Annie Lennox song in ages. When I was little "Walking on, walking on broken glass" were not the words I was hearing... It was "Walking on, walking on dogs and cats", thus effectively making it the most hilarious song ever played on the radio... if you're seven.
I totally love the Beverly Hills Cop theme song (Axel F?). Unrelated, but equally silly.

Axel F is not a confession. The stupid, stupid, annoying, stupid, idiotic Crazy Frog "remix" is. And I know I shouldn't judge, but if you like that song...I totally love the Beverly Hills Cop theme song (Axel F?). Unrelated, but equally silly.

"Through the Fire and Flames" -- Dragonforce
I know some people think this is "t3h best song evar", but... it's just not what I normally think of as "good". Songs that play a double bass continously is not really my thing.
But it still has some really good sequences when there's not a bajillion things happening at once, dammit. And they are good at creating that "epic" feeling, however stupid I think that sounds.
And I guess I'm not actually listening to it (I don't think I've ever heard the entire song except on Guitar Hero III), but it's been in my head for awhile. Probably because I've been constantly working lately, and often rushing.

I hate Through the Fire and Flames more because of the finger breaking difficulty on Guitar Hero.
But, now... Kanye West's Stronger. Every fiber of my being, every principle of music evaluation tells me that I should hate and despise this song.
But... it's catchy. Damn you Kanye!

confession: I didn't know this thread existed.
grace Kelly by mika, has an embarassing number of plays in my itunes, um, it's sort of like a country song in that it's completely ridiculous, catchy and embarrasingly fun to sing along to.
And then I found out that the song is like Barbra streisand gay. lol.
The Grace Kelly quote that starts off the song, "the last time we spoke, Mr. Smith, your reduced me to tears. I promise you it won't happen again." is from a really terrific film, The Country Girl that has a terrific supporting performance from William Holden and Bing Crosby's career best performance. It's also one of Kelly's best, the script is phenomenal too. Great old movie.

What makes a song qualify as gay, exactly? I remember hearing that song on American Idol when Josiah Leming performed it in the first weeks (I liked him!). I really liked the song...but I never buy/download music so I forgot about it.And then I found out that the song is like Barbra streisand gay. lol.
