Rei's grandma asked me for some simple vegetarian recipes, because they like to eat without meat from time to time. I copied out a bunch, and gave her the ragu (I suggested store-bought gnocci, though!) and the tomato curry. I hope you don't mind me spreading the tomato curry love! Oh, and the khol...

I'm not sure how I managed it, really. I just knew that if I gave an inch, he would have won. And I knew that what he was doing was Wrong. Also, I knew from before that he was a deliberate ass, so when I saw him walking towards me with a very determined step, I wasn't expecting anything good. It so...

Thumbs up: Holding my ground, not raising my voice, and not giving an inch while he continued to be mad about things (up to and including me continually and calmly calling him sir) until he finally left. Thumbs up: My legs waiting until I was out of sight to go wibbly. Good for you! How did you do ...

The best alfredo sauce you've attempted, huh? Where's the recipe? And by recipe, I really mean the list of ingredients with approximate measurements/proportions. It doesn't have to be exact, because it's cooking and I never follow the measurements anyway. You know how I feel about garlic (it says 2 ...

I love being read to. Why do we give that up when we grow up? For me, it depends on who's doing the reading. And what they're reading. Mostly, I gave it up because of high school English classes, where other students read out loud, and the rest of us followed along. It was painful. Painful. Also, a...

Dear Bob, I lost my temper today. Do you know how infuriating it is not to be able brush your teeth in the morning, or wash your face? Especially on a morning when you have a filmed assignment to do? When everything you need to look presentable and feel confident is behind that stupid, locked door? ...

I like how Donna yells at the Doctor too. And I was excited about her mentioning Bahrain! When she's standing in the door of the Tardis with the Doctor holding her bags, she said " I don't have to get injections do I? My aunt Vi went to Bahrain and she...." At least I think she said Aunt V...

Dear You, Thank You so much for this evening - it was wonderful. I've been thinking about what you said earlier - that it worries you sometimes that I'm not that chatty, and there are several reasons why I get into those phases. The most common one is that I'm shy and I think that if people are goin...

I think it's cool that Claire's blood helped revive Mr. Bennet. Does this mean that he can regenerate now as well? And I'm not impressed with Mohinder or Parkman. And, will Claire's blood really help? Or will it be the catalyst for the epidemic? Will it make the virus heal itself? Or something else altogether? Just something that was running through my head. I'm so thrilled to find more people who want to speculate on Heroes! And I'm glad that Hiro's back. I love how this shirt is now doubly relevant. Well, I finished P&P. Mr Darcy is a good man and honourable, and I was glad to see he retained his disdain for idiots. But I still don't understand the SQUEE ROMANTIC! reaction he seems to inspire in so many. I enjoyed the book irrationally. The subject matter is depressingly dull. Woo, Society...
