I've had this desktop now for a while, but it reminded me of Ender's Shadow.

So I've been gone for a while... but I thought of something
And I'd like to say hello to you all, even though noone probably remembers who I am. One thing I thought of, after reading Bean's Saga; Petra, Bean, and Peter Wiggin, all had children obviously. And their home was Brazil as well. So one noticeable trait in the later Ender books, is the fact that eac...

Actually I just finished reading Giants again and thought the same thing about Bean having black hair. I'm almost postitive though, that they definitly state Old Valentine from the later Ender books has gray hair. But I envision the Wiggins the way Peter mentioned them. Also I know they do mention t...

I understand, I was majoring in history but switched to film media arts instead. I know I didn't base anything off of fact, ahah but, I honestly think if you were from the south back at that time period, you would have believed the northerners would have abolished slavery, iI'm trying to look at thi...

True enough, but the issues then were over the souths livelihood, which granted, was slavery. The northerners wanted to abolish that, if they did immediatly, the south would have been in shambles, and they were after the civil war anyways. Now I don't condone what they did, slavery and seceding, but...

I'm glad they failed, but they did have every right. After a straight, down the middle vote, all the south states for one presidential candidate, all the north states for another, and they still lost. Does seem a bit unfair. Then again, today's United States isn't divided by north and south. So I ca...

yes, but lots of things would make the ending incredibly sad. if Vernon Dursley showed up with a machine gun and murdered absolutely everyone it would make the ending incredibly sad. ...but it wouldn't serve any purpose within the story. writing is not like real life. it is deliberate. major things...

*thinks* If you really want to go by negative reinforcement for music, you must also include punk rock, emo, heavy metal, classic rock..... and many more. They each go on about either drugs, bombs, death, suicide, sexual abuse, etc.... all very negative aspects. I'd sooner call this thread... the li...

The thing about fictionpress is that most people post their stories in segments as they go along, so they can get advice from eachother, from what I've seen on there, reading reviews and etc of random people's stories, it is a very good reader/writer community, post your story in segments or chapter...

Anyone else notice how scared he looked when he was marching towards his death? I felt almost bad for him, but I thought about what he tells those who die for him. That they have 40 virgins waiting for him in death. Well I wonder then, just why was HE so scared of death anyways? It's not like he had...

Anon, you make every point I had thought and more. Sadly I believe Ron will be the one to die. I've been using that point about both Ron and Harry standing up from the table first, but everyone says that it is talking about Harry. I disagree anywho. J.K. probably knows that Ron's death would have on...

I actually started with Enders Shadow which may be why I support that book more. It was a dark and dreary day at the local library, and Jamie, a 14 year old high school student, had no way home. He walked up the big stony steps to the library doors. Upon opening it he saw a rather large assortment o...
