I think of the voting as a “privilege†not as a “rightâ€. Maybe that’s where we completely disagree. For me, it’s like driving a car. You have to pass a test in order to get a driving license. That way it is safer for everyone who uses the roads (compared with no test at all). Mmm, but t...

Maybe we should make people pass a test about the candidates before voting, too, so we ensure that only informed people vote. /sarcasm Now that is something that I'd really like to see happening! No sarcasm. If the votes of the undecided skew the results, they do so randomly. The votes of the uninf...

I find it a bit silly that when I want to have a glass of wine and I do, I'm breaking the law. I'm not irresponsible, and alcohol doesn't make me do crazy things because I'll only have a glass at a time. I don't drink and then do physical activity that could cause injury. I didn't drink before age 1...

Hey Mahatma, I am glad you have such great plans... Anyways, I was wondering about that Radcliffe thing you mentioned. Is that the thing where he rides around naked on a horse? Haha, yes. Yes, it is. Only in one scene though, I believe. Aside from that, it looks like a very interesting play. So don...

Another story..I have a friend named Christian. He went out with a Jewish girl... So he goes over to her house for dinner and her parents ask: 'So are you a Jew?' Sometimes I wonder if it's pure stupidity or just purposefully meanspiritedness :) Actually, I don't think that's really stupid. Awkward...

I actually didn't phrase the second question the way I thought i did...I meant to ask if it were possible to just do the non-verbal spell but say a different spell (but not do that one). So...if someone were to say Avada Kedavra out loud, but do Impedimenta non-verbally. So that way, only the Imped...

If you did a non-verbal spell, would it be more powerful or less powerful than if you said it verbally? Also, do you think it would be possible to say one spell out loud but do a different spell at the same time non-verbally? I'd imagine the power of a spell doesn't necessarily depend on whether it...

Snow Crash - Neal Stephenson I started that but didn't have time to finish. It was a little confusing, but I'd like to finish it someday. I haven't read LotR. Mostly because I tried to read the Hobbit and couldn't finish -- it just bored me. Maybe I'll skip the Hobbit someday and go on to just the ...

It's not exactly something that was said, but things that people don't know that they just should. My friend is a psych major, and she said that some junior psych majors at our school still do not know the difference between a dependent and an independent variable... junior psych majors . I need the...
