I'm curious what people think of eBooks in general. I personally have no desire to buy a Kindle or an iPad (though with the iPad you can watch movies in widescreen), because nothing beats reading an actual book -- you know, with pages made of paper, with real ink. I don't know, maybe I'm getting old...

My wife may be pregnant... I don't know if I am happy, excited, scared, or disappointed, probably all of the above. Funny, how a week ago I started writing a new screenplay that basically tackles those same issues (as well as a million others -- well not a million, that'd be a long movie!). Crazy ho...

Book 6 of Sword of Truth, "Faith of the Fallen". About 450 pages into it now, took some time for the story to get going (as they all do), but as it's essentially the middle of the series, it felt like Goodkind was taking a deep breath (in a narrative form) before gearing up for the 2nd hal...

There's quite a mix of reactions in here. Surprising. I thought there'd be more Lost fans here. Huh. I'm a huge LOST fan. I didn't watch it during the first season, but at the time I was still living at home and my dad SWORE by it, he loved it, it was his favorite show. So when his birthday came aro...

So I finally read both comics and I have two thoughts. The Ender comic feels rushed, too condensed, jumbled and doesn't make a whole lot of sennse, even to an Ender expert. What's weird though, is that I think the Ender's Shadow comic is great. It's fantastic. I think that it might be because while ...

Seen it twice. locke is right, it's amazing, a game changer. It's on pace to be the 2nd highest grossing movie of all time (domestically and internationally).

Can you guys imagine the battleroom in 3D? Wow...

Been a good year for sci fi, D9 and then this. Good stuff.

I pledge to finish my movie, "Smith Hill"! 50 minutes of the rough cut done, still have a couple sequences left to film, then finish the rough cut, work on a final cut, do all my sound work and color correction, in time to submit for Sundance next year.

I started reading the Terry Goodkind, "Sword of Truth" novels... I picked up the first one (I'd read it years ago) and started again and have been flying through them. I'm half way through the fourth book in the series, "The Temple of Winds" and loving them... I've heard it goes ...

The last episode ("Epitaph Two") airs January 22, 2010, not next week. My bad. but I find it fortunate that they are allowing Whedon to finish the series out and that they killed it early enough that Whedon could go back and change the finale to be more finalizing for the series. I couldn...

Thanks for the pseudo-welcome back Mich and Luet. :) i like the way they worked it, but i'm not a huge fan of the artwork. not marvel's finest artistry. Have you seen the artwork for Ender's Shadow? I wish I had read your post before yesterday, Luet... I bought both hardbound editions yesterday (Ender's Game and Ender's Shadow)... As far as the comics themselves, I like them. I bought it yesterday and flipped through it. I liked the section about the trouble bringing the Ender's Game Movie to screen. It is a little irritating how the author always takes the side of OSC, but then again, it doesn't surprise me, and some of the changes sound ridiculous.

It doesn't work that way. It's Marvel's choice to pursue the film rights. For all we know, OSC took it to them and pitched them the idea and they passed.
